Getting Back on Track

It felt really good to go to the gym after work and run 3 quick miles. I wanted to do more but I needed to get home because I was bringing a meal to a family in my church who just had a baby. I have really been trying to foucs on getting back on track after my trip, but it’s hard! Especially with Easter candy lying around!
Luckily, tomorrow the high is 70+ so I will get to run outside. I cannot wait! I also plan to do some strength work as well. I really want to tone up before summer.
Tomorrow I also plan on having a green monster. Today I had some apples and that’s sadly all the fruit I had. I did have some greek yogurt though. I am having a hard time getting out of bed since it is SO DARK when I get up and even leave, so making a smoothie this morning was out of the question.
SO I am trying to plan ahead, so that I have more success tomorrow. 1.)Green monster 2.) greek yogurt 3.)more fruit 4.)a good run 5.)drink more water. I think this last thing will really help me!

Oh I am also hoping to run a 5k on April 10th so speedwork it is!!!

  1. I usually drink about 4 bottles of water a day! So however many ounces that is..I’m not sure!

I hate the time change…it’s crazy with how dark it has been! Ugh! Good luck on getting back on track!

  2. I try to drink as much water as I can every day. It’s really hard! Most of the time I just forget about it and sometimes I just don’t really care for the taste. I maybe drink 8-16 ounces during the day at work. I run at night so I drink 1 bottle during my run and another after. If I don’t I’ll wake up with a huge headache so that kind of forces me to.

Ugh. I’m with you on the time change (not that it’s ever been super easy for me to get up in the morning). I have the best intentions to eat a good breakfast, prepare food for the day, relax and get ready for work but I end up racing around the house looking for clothes, my keys, my purse, my cell phone, throwing on makeup while doing my hair at the same time, and flying out the door.

    • sounds a lot like my morning! I have gotten better about fixing my lunch the night before and sometimes I lay out clothes but I still always seem to be running around!

  3. Usually about 4 bottles a day. 2 during the work day and 2 at night.

HEY I ran last night without tights! It was a beautiful 60 degrees with a sky full of stars. I think spring is finally here!

  4. I drink a lot of water in day- 3Litres at work and glass here and there once at home for the evening.

  5. That’s such a nice idea to bring a meal to new parents. I still remember all those sleepless busy days with new baby. With water, it’s at least 8 cups a day. I find I have to actually track on paper most of the time or I tend to overestimate how much I’ve had.

    • yeah our sunday school class does meals when someone has a baby for two weeks, it’s a fun ministry, b/c then you get to go see the new baby when you bring the food!

  6. I definitely don’t drink enough water. I have about 6 glasses a day. I’m doing much better with having water at dinner though.

  7. I have a 27 oz Klean Kanteen that I try to fill up 3x a day. We also only drink water (ok, or beer) at dinner.

  8. Drinking water will help you so much with loosing weight and feeling great about yourself!!!! I try to drink around 3-4 bottles a day!

  9. Hope you were able to get outside for your run! It’s always tough to fit in everything.
