Ok so today has NOT been a good mental health day for me! We took the 5th grade on a field trip….as a teacher, field trips are very, very, stressful. I had the worst headache by the time we got back. So, I didn’t end up running and put it off till tomorrow. I took a nap when I came home and that helped.
So then I decided to try and tackle my closet. I. got. so. overwhelmed. I did a little but then I had to leave. I started looking around at how much I needed to do nd how I don’t have enough space to put everything, and I had to leave the room! Pathetic! I did take befre shots, so maybe once you see how BAD it is you will understand. I am so embarassed to post these!

AWFUL I know! How did I let it get like that! I may do some more later, but will probably wait till tomorrow. Also I have a 6 mile run planned tomorrow. Next week my plan is to do 2-3 easy runs before the race. It’s so close! I can’t wait!

  1. The good news- your closet is large. You can do it sassy! It may be a slow process but I have no doubt in my mind that you will get it done.
    Sorry to hear about the field trip. Never realized how stressful it can be for a teacher. I think taking a day off of running was just fine. I did the same. I said I was going to do cross training but I didn’t. I watched T.V. instead. I needed a break mentally. It was a long week…
    Have a good run tomorrow. I hope to do 6mi too. Take pictures if you can.

  2. Oh I would be overwhelmed too! Our guest room closet looked like that before we moved. It was so bad, I never opened the door b/c it stressed me out, too. You are not alone.

    Just think of this as a long training run. I bet when you started running you thought running 10 miles was so overwhelming and you couldn’t do it. But you did it and felt so good after! Cleaning and organizing are just as difficult for me to tackle as a tough workout. You will do it, it will look awesome, and you will be so proud of yourself!

    Hope the forecast for the race looks a little better than Disney 😉

      thanks for the encouragement. i just have to get in there and do it. The hardest part is keeping it clean once it’s already done!

  3. I would be a little overwhelmed too. I agree with Jen though. Once you start, and then finish, you will so proud of yourself! You can do it! You just have to find a starting point. :0)
