Bootcamp and Weekend Thoughts

Good morning friends! Guess what?

I was so bummed when I missed out on the last round of Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp, so I wanted to be sure I didn’t miss out this time. I registered early, have printed out my workouts, and I can’t wait to get started today! I will be updating my progress during the next eight weeks. This will be good for me since I am not running for another 1.5 weeks…it will give me something else to focus on. (By the way you won’t believe this but I got a splinter in the bottom of my inured foot. How in the WOLRD! That thing is not coming out either!)

In case you are catching up from the weekend, here are some posts to check out:

Round Two

A few things on my mind this weekend….

1.) Waivers went up for the Disneyland half. This made me very excited…and very scared. If and that’s a big IF I can run August 1st, I will have exactly one month to get ready for this half marathon. Prior to my injury I had run one 7 miler and one 9 miler as far as long runs go…and they were a month ago…yikes. We aren’t running this race for time anyway, but still, it’s scary.

2.) Next, my awesome husband gave me patio furniture for my birthday and i took it upon myself to start putting it together. I put together this chair and a coffee table. Took me about an hour, and there is another chair AND a couch to put together…I think I will leave those to Bobby. That was tough! Why is it when things require assembly that the screws and holes never line up properly?!?

3.) I am now obsessed with the show Once Upon a Time. I just finished all eight seasons of Desperate Housewives on Hulu Plus (by the way, what are yall’s thoughts on the ending? I thought it was so-so.) Anyway, my buddy Karen had told me about this show awhile back and when I saw it was on Hulu, I decided to start the series this weekend. I am loving it so far! If you haven’t seen it be sure to check it out.

  1. WAIT
I think we have that patio furniture too 🙂
which means we can totally sit and have a glass of wine together—virtually.

  2. Lindsay @ The Lean Green Bean says:

yay! i’m doing bootcamp too! excited 🙂

  3. Karen :0) says:

SO glad you got into Once Upon A Time!! YAY! :0)
I know what you mean about screws not lining up…that’s a pain in the behind. The furniture is really cute, though!! Can’t wait to see it all set up!

  4. yayyy! i did the first boot camp workout this morning. 🙂 glad we’re boot campin’ together!

  5. I’m sure you can finish the Disneyland Half if your injury gets better, especially if you take some walk breaks. Also, your new patio furniture looks really nice (and comfortable)!

    Good luck with bootcamp! 🙂

  6. Where did you find the DL Half waivers? Was it e-mailed to you? I haven’t gotten mine yet!

  7. You’ll looooove bootcamp! Great job w/the patio furniture!

  8. You’re going to love the boot camp! I participated in the first round 🙂

  9. I can’t believe I missed another round of bootcamp! I’m hope it’s awesome– I’m going to catch the next one! Lovely patio furniture, by the way.

  10. Once Upon A Time is one of my FAVORITE shows … I can’t wait for it to come back on! Looking forward to bootcamp with you girl 🙂

  11. YAY! I’m so excited about the pink shoe laces!!! EKK!!!

And a boot camp sounds perfect since you can’t run for 1.5 weeks! But at the same time … I hope the 1.5 weeks fly by!

And this weekend, well, I went fishing in cajun country! It was a blast. Interesting people and absolutely gorgeous surroundings. Perfect Sunday 🙂

  12. It took me hours and hours to put together our grill and I even broke one piece. I have never been so angry at a project. Now anytime I go to put something together, Husband says, remember the grill? And I stop.

  13. Once Upon a Time is amazing. I had a class last year during its normal airing time, so I would wake up at 6 AM on Monday mornings to watch it before classes. This may not be healthy….

  14. I LOVE Once Upon a Time, and thankfully so do some of my friends. I’m such a Disney nut and can’t wait for the start of season 2. Summer can be difficult with all my shows on hiatus 🙁

  15. Good luck with bootcamp!!! I can’t wait to follow your progress! And I LOVE Once Upon a Time! I watched it when it was airing! Great show!!!

  16. Nicely done. I’m sending positive vibes for a speedy recovery.

  17. Good luck with training. Stay healthy girl! 🙂

  18. I love Once Upon a Time!!

  19. Have fun with the training!

I had an awesome weekend filled with family, friends, exercise and fun 🙂
