Weekly Workout Recap…yeah…

So on Sunday I typically do a weekly workout recap…but I literally haven’t worked out a single time this week! This hasn’t happened in a very long time, but I knew in order to get well I needed to rest and not prolong my cold.

I feel SO much better, but can’t get rid of this nasty cough. I have been sleeping sitting up all week and still sound like a frog when I talk.

I am hoping to go for a long power walk tomorrow then lift weights Monday. I really am ready to get back into the swing of things and miss the gym!

QOTD: how long do you rest when you are sick?

  1. It’s so hard to rest when you’re sick…I mean, it’s easy because you feel crappy…but it’s hard because you are so used to/enjoy working out! I had a sinus infection a couple of months ago and I physically couldn’t do any exercise – I tried on the 3rd day (before I was on antibiotics) and after about 2 minutes I thought my head would explode from the pressure…so that was that! A few days, or one week, or 2 weeks…the world will still go ’round! 🙂

  2. Thankfully when I got my last cold, it was after a major race and I didn’t have to train for anything yet. I hate being sick because I can hardly sit still, yet that’s what I have to do when I sick. Glad you’re feeling better and I hope you can get rid of that cough.

  3. Sorry you were sick, and hope you’re feeling better. I think it’s smart to take some time off.

  4. Traveling – sickie people – will do it but you’re one smart cookie! Emergen-C is also my best friend 😉

  5. Hope you feel 100% soon Heather!

PS: Did you get that blue and cream colored pillow/pillow case on Etsy? I’ve recently been eyeing one up from a shop on there.

  6. I got a horrible flu virus last month while traveling. It’s good to give your body time to recooperate. Hopefully you will be feeling much better this week.

I take as much time off as I need when I am sick. Especially if it is a chest cold. Nothing like letting the body heal before putting more strain on it. 🙂

  8. I am so glad you got some well needed rest.
