As Healthy Living Summit Draws Near…

June 8, 2012 | fitness, running, Uncategorized

About this time last year, I announced I was going to do something really fun…I was going to attend  the Healthy Living Summit in Philly! I snatched up a ticket quickly because I knew they would sell out fast. I booked a flight, and made plans to visit a new city, have fun, learn a lot, and make new friends. Let me tell you, I had a really great time getting to know people! Also, if you don’t have a blog but just love health and fitness, that’s ok, you can come!

Here are my recaps from HLS:

Philly Bound

Arriving at the HLS

Sleepy Saturday at HLS

HLS cocktail party

HLS Saturday sessions

Saturday night fun in Philly

Super Sunday at HLS

Whew! That’s a lot of recaps, but I can assure you a lot went on to warrant all those recaps!

Holy swag is what you are thinking, and holy swag is RIGHT!

I know some people are worried about meeting other bloggers in real life, or going to a new place and not being sure if it will be fun…well I can promise you HLS is fun!! I made some many new friends and connections, and it was great to finally meet some of the people I felt like I already knew. It was also great to learn new tips and tricks to blogging and healthy living in general. So, if you are on the fence about going, let me give you a gentle nudge. You won’t regret it! If you have any questions about the summit please feel free to ask!

This years conference will be in BOSTON August 17-19. Tickets go on sale soon so be sure to like the Healthy Living Summit Facebook page to stay up to date on news and info!

Not to mention…yours truly is one of the speakers this year!!! That’s right, I will be hosting a session on social media and utilizing the latest trends to grow your blog readership. I am SO excited! I hope you will consider coming!

QOTD: Have you ever been to a blogging conference? Are you planning to go to HLS?

So glad for you that you are a guest speaker this year! I enjoyed following your adventures last year at the summit. I would love to go to Boston and the HLS, love to meet you, and love to meet some of the other fabulous bloggers that I follow. I am not a blogger, but just as you all inspire my running and y own health and fitness, I am slowly thinking about starting up my own blog–in which case your session would be perfect! Wishing you lots of luck and fun!

I often end up sad or frustrated that things didn’t “turn out as planned.” But planned according to who? Success according to what?

As we were ice skating last weekend at Gaylord Opryland, laughing and just having so much fun as a family, I was hit with what I can only describe as a warm fuzzy. I wanted to smile and cry all at the same time. I thought to myself….this is it right here. 🥹

If nothing else good happens, I’ve got this and am so rich because of it. These moments. This is what I always prayed for as a girl when imagining my family one day. And it’s here, happening right now. I don’t want to wish it away waiting for the next big thing to happen.

I just want to ice skate with them in a place that makes us so happy. Wha a year. ⛸️ ❤️

I took the day off on Thursday and then worked a ton Friday, EK had bball Saturday and then we went out of town. I realized I never posted for turkey day! 😜

I have so much to be thankful for, most days I feel completely undeserving. God has been good to us, even in the days that don’t feel so good. His plans may not make sense at the time, but thankfully He is the one that sees the whole picture, not us!

We are going into the Christmas season with hearts full of gratitude and love as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. This is the most special and my favorite time of year! Let the celebrating continue!

Lastly, I am thankful for all of YOU! For liking, commenting on, and watching my content over the years. Without you, my career doesn’t exist and I am beyond thankful for the opportunities this job has given me. So THANK YOU! 🫶🏻

Using the Braun IPL has completely changed my routine, it’s the at-home alternative to salon laser hair removal that gives me long-lasting results without the appointments or pain. I started seeing results after my second use, and now I get to spend that extra time doing things I actually love — like traveling, family time, and coffee runs ☕✨

If you’ve been thinking about trying IPL, now’s the time, @BraunBeautyUS Black Friday sale is happening Nov 16 – Dec 1, with $120 off the Braun IPL. Up to 2 years of smooth, salon-like skin, right from home. #BraunIPL
