Blogiversary Number 2

Two years ago today, I posted my first every blog post. A year ago, I celebrated my one year blogiversary. I cannot believe it has been two whole years since I first opened my life up for the world to read. What started as an accountability journal has blossomed into what I never thought or imagined.

My first half, 2010

My blog has been the starting point for so many things over the past two years. It is what ultimately helped me get my job at Running Skirts, and it has also allowed me to get to meet and network with some amazing people! I am so thankful and blessed when it comes to my little baby! (yes I treat an inanimate object like my child.)

I know I said this last year, but I have learned so much in the past two years. It is so much fun to go back and see what I was doing TWO years ago. I love having an account for my comings and goings, it’s like a grown up dear diary, but with lots of friends, encouragement, and love.

Thank you readers, for all the love and support you have shown me over the past two years. I love your comments and feedback, and your inspiration. You have helped me to become a better person, and I am so grateful I get to share my little corner of the internet with you. It has been a wild ride with many ups and downs, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

still racing in 2011!

Are there things I wish had gone differently in the past two years? Of course. But I know God works in mysterious ways and has a reason for doing things the way He does. I am forever changing and growing, hopefully becoming a better writer, a better athlete, a better person. Thank you for being patient with me and for being an encouragement. I hope you stick around RWS this year and grow with me. I can’t wait to see what year three brings!

QOTD: Do you have a blog? if so, what would you like to accomplish with it this year? Post a certain number of times a week, take more pictures, get more readers, etc?

  1. Happy Blogiversary!!!! I love reading and hearing all of your wonderful stories about life and running!! (I hope you are feeling better, I was thinking about you this weekend!!)

  2. Happy Blogiversary! I agree that I never knew what starting a blog would do – and it’s been amazing! I’m excited to see what year 3 holds for you too 🙂 PS – I love that last picture of you and your pups!

  3. Happy blogiversary! I hope you’ll eat a cupcake in your blog’s honor to celebrate 🙂

  4. Congrats on your “blogiversary”! Mine was just last week (#1), and like you, I can’t believe how fast the time has gone! I love reading your blog, and am happy that you decided to start one:) I hope this year is full of all sorts of great blogging things for you!

  5. Happy Blogiversary! Very exciting! Thanks for the inspiration and insight you share with us all. I hope you have a fabulous third year!
Goals for my blog–since it is brand new (with a few older posts from our family blog thrown in for good measure) I am hoping to post regularly and get a few regular readers. My only real intention is to use it as a training log and a place to share my thoughts on what I am learning as I run.

  6. I’d like to get more readers. I currently have 18 followers (of which, I personally know only one of them), which I am honestly surprised about! But then I see you ladies with hundreds of readers and comments on every blog – that’s what I want in 2012!

  7. Happy Blogiversary! My blog is kind of defunct. I think I’m going to start up a new one, but I don’t really know how/where to start…so many topics, I can actually probably have like 3 separate ones!

  8. Happy Blogiversary, RWS!! I have been following for not quite a year (?) and I soooo enjoy reading your posts every day. Thank you so much for posting what you do. We are huge Disney fans, even with our boys being older now, I am a runner, and also an avid Runningskirts fan…so you are right up my alley! Congrats to you and keep on blogging for us! 🙂 Good Luck in 2012!! (You also make me think about starting my own blog…hmmm…)

  9. Happy Blogiversary! I’ve really enjoyed reading your blog over the past several months since starting my own blog. I always enjoy your honest race recaps and the different running skirt outfits you sport for the races!

  10. Happy Blogiversary! My goal for my blog is to someday be able to post something just like this! I am new to the bloggy world and I love it. The people that you meet (meet?) are just incredible. So, I hope to start posting things that will actually be helpful/entertaining, and hopefully make a few friends along the way.

  11. Happy Blogiversary!!!

  12. Happy blogiversary, girl!

  13. Happy Blogiversary! Our blog is brand new ( and it’s been so much fun so far! Our goals for the next year:
    1) Increase readership
    2) Motivate other runners
    3) Post M-F
    4) Network with other amazing runners (like you 🙂 )
It’s been so much fun so far, and I cannot wait to see where we are in a year!

  14. Congratulations on your Anniversary!! Your blog is enjoyable to read! 🙂
