I’m Goofy

So I did something well…kind of GOOFY yesterday….watch this short video to see what I’m talking about.

AAAAHHHH!!! I know I always talked about doing it but to be signed up just seems so different. Gulp. It’s official. There is no turning back. I AM DOING THIS!

Remember, if you have a Disney visa you get a small discount which basically covers the active fees to register online for the race. I have always coveted the Goofy merchandise at the expo, and now I get to buy it! I am saving my pennies now.

Speaking of marathon weekend, don’t forget, even though prices are not out for 2013 yet, I can book you into my marathon room block at a DISCOUNTED RATE RIGHT NOW! e mail me for more info at [email protected]. Right now I still have rooms at All Star Sports, Art of Animation, Port Orleans Riverside, Caribbean Beach, Wilderness lodge, and the Grand Floridian (standard rooms.)

I am so excited to come full circle from watching the race, to running the half, then the full, and now GOOFY!

QOTD: What is something you have accomplished that you once thought you would never do?

  1. Wow. That really is … Goofy! I can’t imagine (yet) running a half marathon let alone a half and a full on the same weekend. Good luck!

  2. Congratulations! I did the Goofy this year, and it was an incredible experience! I remember the day I registered, I felt sick to my stomach all day long. The back-to-back training runs are tough, but I followed Jeff Galloway’s training plan and it was perfect. I knocked over 30 minutes off my marathon time from the year before, too! Good luck on your Goofy journey. I’ll be there for the full, becausone Goofy was enough for me! 🙂

  3. Wahoooo! You are officially official!! So excited for Goofy!
Something I thought I’d never do? Run a Marathon (only crazy people
    do that!) hah!

  4. Congratulations! I will be cheering for you. My husband is running the full…I haven’t registered for that half just the wine and dine in November, are you planning to run then?

  5. Way to get in the game! This is going to be such a fantastic year, 20th anniversary and all, I know nothing is going to stop you! Way to go and good luck with the training Heather! I will be Goofy with you and I might even go Dopey for the fun of it.

    • I thought about doing dopey but I think 2 days in a row of getting up way early will be plenty for this year ha

  6. Oh your pup is too cute. And kudos to you guys for signing up for a challenge like that! Really awesome.

  7. Congrats! My husband and I ran the half in 2010 and then Goofy last year – it’s so much fun! I’ll probably be doing it again this year too!

  8. How exciting!!!! I hear it’s such a challenge but so rewarding. 🙂

  9. Congrats, Heather! So excited for your chance to be Goofy and jealous of it, too! Disney Marathon Weekend is on my “bucket list” of races/experiences, so maybe one day I will be able to join you elite crowd of Goofies! 🙂
Something I never thought I would do before? Run a Marathon. Five months ago, in December, I didn’t even know. Four days ago, on April 28, I did it!! I ran my first Full in my hometown of Nashville, TN at the Country Music Marathon. I loved it. Very hard, very hot, very hilly, very proud! 🙂 Good Luck with your training! Love your blog!

    • woo hoo! I heard that was a hot one. I purposefully never sign up for that one. haha! Way to go and thanks for reading!

  10. Awesome! Congrats!

I never thought I’d run. Never say never 🙂

  11. Wow, that is a little bit crazy. I never knew what the Goofy was, so I’m glad you explained it! Good luck! I’m sure that it will be a great experience!

  12. Yay!! I really want to sign up for this! I think I’m going to in the next week! 🙂

  13. Congrats!! I’m sure it will be an amazing experience!

  14. Whoo hoo!! How exciting 🙂 Sounds like a blast!

  15. “Don’t like to read or something.” LOL. Best. Line. Ever. (great vlog BTW). I so want to do the Goofy… I really, really, really want to.

    • haha! I was hoping someone would catch that. SIGN UP! I have a room block of discounted room rates just waiting to be booked!

  16. Wow!! I think you are definitely Goofy! 🙂 I’m in the camp of never running a marathon ever (let alone a half marathon the day before!), but I am super impressed by people who do. Good luck! Can’t wait to follow along on your journey!

  17. Cool – sounds like so much (but a little intimidating) fun!

  18. Ahh yaaaaay! Can’t wait 🙂 I need to register soon, too!

  19. So fun! You are going to rock it!

  20. Yippee! I’ll be there for the full marathon portion 🙂

  21. Oh wow that’s awesome! I’m excited for you 🙂

  22. DANG GIRL! Get it!! That is so awesome. The Goofy Challenge is on my bucket list… Probably wont be ready for all that for quite a few years though 😉
