4th of July Recap 2013

July 6, 2013 | blogging, family

Bobby and I woke up and hit the gym before driving to my parents how for a little 4th of July BBQ. We had to drop the dogs off with them since we are going to the beach today! My dad already had the grill fired up, and we had a delicious lunch.

I wore my flag shoes I wear once a year.

We didn’t stay outside long, it was so hot and humid!

My mom did a great job of decorating.

Even the pups were decorated. They love holidays, too ya know!

Friday morning, Bobby and I went for a seven mile run. I can still be patriotic on July 5th, right?

We had a great day with my parents, and ate lots of good food. It was just a quick visit, but we will be back in a week for my birthday! Today we are on the road headed to Destin, FL. The dogs are being watched, the house is being watched, and we are ready for some fun in the (hopefully) sun. It’s been quite rainy this week so I am praying it clears out. I can’t wait to tell you all about this great place we are staying. Yall are going to love it!

Have a great weekend with your family and friends. I will still be blogging so don’t worry!

QOTD: What did you do for the 4th of July?

Some days, the scoreboard doesn’t look the way we Some days, the scoreboard doesn’t look the way we want it to, but that doesn’t change how proud we are. ❤️

Yesterday we didn’t win the championship, but that didn’t stop us from remembering what really matters, that our daughter is an amazing human who deserves to be celebrated even on the tough days. 🍧

Parents, it’s SO easy to get wrapped up in the game. Let’s always remember that our kids’ worth isn’t measured by a trophy or a score. Celebrate them. Encourage them. Love them unconditionally. ✨

They are enough. Always. 💛
