5 Must Have Holiday Items from Lorna Jane

December 3, 2014 | fashion, fitness, running

This post is sponsored by FitFluential LLC on behalf of Lorna Jane.

I have heard a lot about the brand Lorna Jane in the past few months, but had never owned any of their clothes myself. I can now tell you that I see what all of the buzz is about! I received a top and pair of tights/pants, and I am in love! The clothes are really well made and super comfortable.

Lorna Jane releases 70-100 new styles PER MONTH so there are always adorable new clothes to buy. Not only are there a plethora of outfits to choose from, but their outfits are very fashion forward. I would gladly wear their clothing line out and about and not just at the gym. Everything is so versatile! They have stores in CA, WA, OR, AZ, TX, NV, and are coming to the East Coast in 2015! You can Find your closest store or shop now on lornajane.com

I really think everyone should try them out, and so I thought it would be fun to share five items that I think should be on your wish list.

5 Must Have Holiday Items from Lorna Jane:

1.) Move Nourish Believe diary: (pictured below) Yall, this thing is awesome. I am such a planner, and for some reason I really like paper planners and have never liked having an online calendar. There is just something about writing things down on paper that helps me stay organized. Every year I am on the hunt for the perfect planner, and I think I have found one!

Not only does it have a monthly calendar and space to write in things week by week, but it has tons of motivation and inspiration like recipes, challenges to help you move, and more. I can’t wait to fill mine out!

2.) Felix hooded top: (pictured below) This top is really comfortable and keeps me warm! I especially love the hood and the pocket in front to stash my cell phone or keys. It has a waffle type patterned feel, and fits really well (I am wearing a medium). It’s great for workouts but also stylish enough to wear around town.

3.) Amy full length tights: (pictured below) Oh, how I love these, let me count the ways. These have become my favorite running tights for cold weather. These babies are so soft and really flattering. I’m still carrying around a few post pregnancy pounds but I feel confident in these tights. They are made of a great performance fabric that wicks sweat and helps keep you dry.

4.) Eccentric sports bra: Not only is this sports bra adorable, but it’s functional. It’s designed for maximum support and high impact sports. It also has removable padding and adjustable straps which is a must for me. I don’t own this product (yet haha) but it definitely belongs on my list.

5.) Dreamer Tank: I love the look of this tank top! I am all about flowy tops while I’m trying to get back into shape. It also doesn’t hurt that I love the saying on it (front and back!) It’s made from a lightweight fabric and has a very flattering neckline.

——————–

Have you ever visited the Move Nourish Believe website? It is a great holiday resource on so many things. It has great “go to” articles to help you get through the holidays: think recipes, workout items to keep you in shape while eating all those yummy holiday meals, etc.

Some of my favorite articles are the fitness related ones, like this one about 5 ways to exercise when you are really busy, and the one that talks about misunderstood fitness secrets.

Be sure to follow Lorna Jane on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!

QOTD: Do you like any of the 5 items I have picked for my holiday must have list? Is there anything you would add?

I like the tank top on your list Heather. My list has several outfits from Athleta and Brooks that have been ordered by my hubby….that way, I get what I really like! LOL He picked out his gifts too, so we are both happy Christmas morning. Another planner that I love is by Erin Condren, because it has a spiral binding which makes it easy to flip from month to month, week to week!

I love the planner! I’m that person who writes her weekly workouts and meals out on paper the old fashioned way too.

I was just on LJ’s website last night looking for items to put on my wish list! Love that hooded top and you can’t go wrong with any of her tanks!

I love that style tank. I prefer a tank fitted up top but a flowing at the bottom so it’s not riding up while I’m running.

I used to think dairy-free desserts were “just o I used to think dairy-free desserts were “just okay.” Like, fine in a pinch… but never something I craved. 👀

But then this little picnic happened—just me, my girl, and a sweet treat we both loved enough to fight over the last bite. 😅

We’ve been trying to be more mindful with food choices lately (especially with summer travel coming up), and I grabbed these So Delicious treats at Kroger kind of on a whim. The new packaging caught my eye, but it was the taste that totally surprised us. Creamy. Indulgent. No weird aftertaste. And no, we’re not fully dairy-free—and we still loved them.

It’s one of those little swaps that doesn’t feel like giving anything up.

And that? That’s a win for both of us. ✨@So_Delicious

🚨 Homeschool decision!! If you have been aroun 🚨 Homeschool decision!!

If you have been around here since Christmas time, then you know we pulled Emma Kate out of her private school after the first semester and put her in a hybrid homeschool for the spring. The main reason being we wanted more absences than the school allowed.

What is a hybrid? In our case, she went to a school all day 3 days a week, and we taught her at home two days a week.

It seemed like the best of both worlds, not having absences count since we were also her teachers, being able to stay home some, sleep in, and travel.

Well, it wasn’t all rainbows and butterflies. For one, the school we sent her to ended up not being what we thought. We were told being absent wouldn’t be a problem, but it became clear very early on her teacher was not a fan and she was not kind or accommodating to Emma Kate. There’s a lot of other reasons we didn’t blown the school I won’t go into. (If you are local and considering hybrid feel free to dm me and I will share my concerns and grievances.)

Teaching your kid is hard. There were lots of tears and frustrations, and she got bored since Bobby and I also work from home/I’m not a stay at hoke mom. We couldn’t just sit with her all day and teach her with our crazy long hours owning two businesses.

It was tough to keep a schedule and while getting to travel a lot was great, she didn’t thrive on not having a routine and struggled with the randomness of everything.

She is also a very social only child who missed her friends and also wants to play sports for her school.

In the end while there were a lot of pros to hybrid homeschool, the cons outweighed them for us so we are returning to her old school in the fall.

Am I glad we did it? Yes! I always would have wondered otherwise and now we know. We will still be pulling her out of school some to travel in the fall, just not as much.

If you have any questions feel free to drop them in the comments below and I will be happy to answer the best I can! 🩷
