I recently attended the second MNSSHP of the year dressed as the Evil Queen, and wowâthis party is everything magical about Disney with a spooky twist! From candy trails to exclusive shows, hereâs my insider guide for making the most of Mickeyâs Not-So-Scary Halloween Party so you can see and do as much as possible!

 1. Plan Your Party Night
-
MNSSHP is separate ticketed admission, usually 7 PM to midnight. But you can get in as early as 4:00 pm.
-
Arrive early if you want character photos, they won’t get shorter as the night goes on! Also some special merch just for the party may sell out.
-
Pick up a party mapâitâs your guide to candy stations, shows, and character meet-and-greets.
2. Costumes are Key
-
I went as the Evil Queen, and it was a total hit! But it is also Florida and hot, so i wore a tank dress, some ears, cute purse, and comfy shoes!
-
Adults can dress as Disney characters (masks covering the face arenât allowed).
-
Group costumes = epic photo ops!
Pro Tip: Donât be afraid to go all inâyour costume is part of the magic! But remember it gets HOT.
3. Trick-or-Treat Like a Pro
-
Candy stations are everywhere along the trick-or-treat trails.
-
Adults can join in tooâDisney encourages everyone to get in the Halloween spirit!
-
Allergy-friendly candy is available, so everyone can participate safely.
Insider Tip: Trails are PACKED early on. Wait until 10:30 or 11:00 and you will walk right in!
4. Donât Miss the Shows
-
Mickeyâs âBoo-to-Youâ Parade: Floats, villains, and characters in Halloween attire. (I got some fun Evil Queen photos here!) The parade runs twice during the party!
-
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular: The Sanderson sisters meet Disney villains in a hilarious showdown. This show happens multiple times per party, check your map for times!
-
Special Fireworks: Spooky music + magical pyrotechnics = unforgettable! Happens once per party.
5. Ride Magic
-
Some attractions get Halloween overlays, like Space Mountain.
-
Lines are often shorter during MNSSHPâperfect time to hop on your favorites.
- Sometimes characters dressed in their Halloween best will ride, too!
6. Tips From Me
-
Wear comfortable shoesâyouâll be walking all night.
-
Stay hydrated; it can get warm even in the evening.
-
Plan your parade and fireworks viewingâmultiple showtimes mean you can avoid peak crowds.
-
Bring a camera or phone fully chargedâthe photo ops are endless!

Why MNSSHP is Worth It
Mickeyâs Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is more than candy and costumes. Itâs a chance to immerse yourself in Disney magic, see your favorite characters in a new light, and make memories that last a lifetime. Dressing as the Evil Queen made it feel like I was part of the storyâand the photos are some of my fave!
Final Tip: Go with the mindset of fun, magic, and a little mischief. Thatâs what makes MNSSHP unforgettable!
