Long run Saturday! I haven’t done a long run since…uh…well, let’s just say it’s been awhile. Bobby and I have plans to tackle between 6-8 miles this morning and then maybe go for a dip in the pool. What are your Saturday plans?
It is nice to not have much to do, I feel like we have been on the go so much and it’s not slowing down any. We are out of town 2 of the next 3 weekends and August is very busy as well. (Healthy Living Summit, Disneyland Half marathon, etc.)
So, in the spirit of taking it easy, I am going to let my blog take some rest and share with you a new (to me) blog to follow! It’s Amy from Running Escapades!
1.) How/Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging as another way of journaling my running experiences. I am a scrapbooker and saw blogging as another way of saving my memories. It was a way to keep myself accountable as I tried to achieve my goal of becoming a New England runner.
2.) Sum up your blog in a couple sentences:
RUNNING ESCAPADES is about my love for running. It is a place for me to share my experiences and my passion.
3.)What do you wish to accomplish/achieve by blogging?
Ultimately, my goal was to record my memories as I tried to become a New England runner. I’m a midwest girl now living in a much different environment. I was attempting to conquer my environment and hoping to interact with other runners who could relate or offer support.
4.)What is your biggest healthy living accomplishment?
My biggest accomplishment so far is training and running my first half marathon last year. The farthest I had ever run before that was a 10K. With the support of my husband and running partner I was able to tackle the 13.1 and I’m looking to do it again soon.
Thanks Amy! I love that you are a scrapbooker! Be sure to follow Amy on Twitter as well: @runningescapade
*You can still register for Healthy Living Summit! Hurry before tickets sell out! If you have questions about the summit, what to expect, etc. Please feel free to contact me!
QOTD: Who is racing this weekend? Any other big plans?

I already follow Amy, but am happy to get to know more about her.
Love her creative outlet! I’m not a scrapbooker, but a knitter. Same idea; creating beautiful things out of basic materials!
