Thank you to everyone who gave advice and sympathy yesterday on my blog post. Today I decided to vlog with a follow up, as well as chat about playing childhood sports and ask YOU a question at the end. (Cute puppy makes an appearance too. She’s very very sneaky!)
Hope that helps further explain my running shoe situation and what I plan to do/try next!
QOTD: Did you play sports as a child, and if so do you still participate in those or have you moved on to a different fitness activity?

I was a cheerleader, dancer, and softball player as a kid! I had a blast doing those things. I now run and enjoy adult dance classes. I do Zumba, Irish dance, and sometime adult gymnastics! All similar activities to what I did as a kid.

Glad you have a plan for the shoe woes! Hope the Asics work! I skated on the speed team as a kid. I also did some ballet and tennis. I always wanted to be a runner but would always start out too fast, it would be too hard, and I would quit. About 2.5 years ago after having children and being miserable because I was out of shape, I decided to give running another go. I fell in love with it!

I started playing soccer in third grade and played that through high school. When my family moved to Boston, I fell in love with lacrosse and started playing that in eighth grade and through my junior year of college. I played soccer in an adult league for three seasons after moving here, but stopped so I could train for my first half. I was having hip flexor issues and didn’t want muscle problems during my training and thought both would be too much. I do want to pick it up again but the team doesn’t seem to be together anymore.

Your pup looks like my Buddy! So cute!
Glad you’re going to try going back to Asics. My fave :-).
I was very competitive when I was young, but I didn’t play any sports outside of PE classes in school. When I was in school, girls weren’t encouraged to play sports like they are today. I didn’t start running until I was in my late 30s.

I rode horses growing, did dance tap, jazz, gymnasts for 11 yrs, did swimming and track through junior high, and dabbled in cheerleading in high school. With that being said I didn’t consider myself athletic and couldn’t run to the end of the corner to save my life. Seriously. So happy to now have an actual athletic life.
PS I watched your whole vid and caught the cute cuteness. I absolutely adore your pups and just want to eat them up. They should be featured on your blog more 😉

As a child what didn’t we do.. Right 😉 I played basketball and volleyball. (nowhere near college level lol) Had fun. Picked up running because it is something I can do but it is something I needed to do. There was so much stress in my life that I needed a good outlet. I am not fast but I run and I like it. CUTE DOGGIE !!!!

I played softball all through elementary and middle school but stopped after 8th grade I think. Now I’m back on an adult league at the age of 24! It’s so much fun, and I had totally forgotten how much I missed it after not playing for near a decade! Haha! Spa love and I really hope u can get that perfect pair of sneaks!
