Happy rainy Tuesday! I tell ya, all this rain is making me so sleepy! Not to mention the garlic fries and half of a cheeseburger I had for lunch!
My mom and I ran some errands, and I went with her to vote, and we went to lunch at New Orleans Hamburger Company. I hadn’t been to this new(er) location so it was a nice change. I generally try to only eat beef one a week or so, and this cheeseburger hit the spot! It was so big I couldn’t even finish half, and it came with the most amazing garlic fries! They were so rich, I only had half of those, too.

One of my favorite blogs to read it N Her Shoes. I love hearing about all of Bobbi’s fun adventures and she just so happens to be an awesome runner! Anyway, I am totally stealing an idea from her because I love lists! Bobbi made a list of goals for the rest of the year, which is a great idea since we get so busy and a lot of things end up being thrown out the window due to parties, shopping, being with friends and family, etc. This got me really thinking about what I want to accomplish before 2010 is over. Here is my list:
1.)recover from this IT band injury
2.)run 3-4 days a week
3.)read at least two books
4.)volunteer for a charity or at church during the Christmas season
5.)cook 4-5 new recipes
6.)strength train 2-3x’s a week
7.)Read my Bible everyday. I try to read everyday but honestly 1-2 times a week I just forget.
8.)eat at home more, and at the table, not in front of the TV
9.)Make something for the new house. I am not crafty but would love to be! Suggestions?
So, there you go. if I remember, I will revisit this in January!
QOTD: What is something you want to have done by the end of 2010?

I want to run a 5K in 30 minutes. (I’m really slow, don’t judge.) I’m averaging 11:03 pace right now.

I absolutely don’t jude! I am not fast at all. I think as long as you are working towards YOUR potential you are doing awesome! you can do it!

My goal for 2010 (non-athletic) was to read 1 book a month. So far i am on my 10th book this year! last year i only read 1 book all year! I knew you were a Disnet travel Agent but i didn’t know i could book thru you, i thought i had to call disneyy directly. i’ll keep that in mind for next year 🙂
runningwithsass says
oh yes, I can book everything for you! (thats the only way I get paid if I do the booking haha) we can also do takeovers, where we can takeover an existing disney reservation that was booked through disney! :oP
thats great looks like you will meet your goal!

I know just what you mean about needing to eat at the table more instead of in front of the tv. Just today as I sat on my bed eating a bowl of cereal, I wondered if it’s possible to forget how to eat properly at the table. Probably not, but the thought crossed my mind.
By the end of the year, I plan to have written in my journal every single week of this year.
runningwithsass says
it’s so hard sometimes when I can get more done by multitasking!
I used to journal a lot, but, like a lot of things, it has gone away due to time!

My biggest goal is to book my damn honeymoon! We want to go to Disney so bad but the whole planning process is overwhelming me! I was so psyched to see that you do that! Maybe we can help each other with our respective goals!
runningwithsass says
you need to email me asap!
heather@travelwiththemagic.com
it’s free to you for me to book for you!

Goal-setting is one of my favorite things! I really like having something to work towards and look forward to. I wouldn’t mind a 5K PR before the end of this year.
runningwithsass says
I really wanted to put that, and I was planning to run one tis month and I know I will PR b/c my current PR is from a year ago, but, with my IT band I dont want to risk hurting it. boo.

You’ve got some good goals…I should probably steal them! We ate supper in front of the TV. The Husband is currently playing Fable III while I’m blogging about — at least we are in the same room…right?
I also need to read some more books! I have one with a bookmark at about chapter 5, so I’m trying!
runningwithsass says
OMG yall sound just like us. my husband went out and got fable III the day it was released!
