Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Gaylord Opryland Summer of more, however, all opinions are my own.
We were invited to enjoy the Gaylord Opryland summer of more activities, and I can honestly say I was super impressed! I mean, let’s be honest, there is already a ton to do at this resort, but the extra pirate and princess summer fun just gave it a little something extra which was perfect for Emma Kate!
There are a variety of events going on right now through Labor day, so there is still time to enjoy the fun and make summer last just a little bit longer. Here are just a few things that we enjoyed (and some info on other activities as well!)
1.) Soundwaves:
Soundwaves is an amazing indoor/outdoor waterpark experience. However, you don’t gain admission just by having a room at the hotel, you must add on the soundwaves package. They only sell so many per day so don’t wait until the last minute!
I LOVED how it didn’t feel crowded at all. There were plenty of chairs for everyone, and line waits were minimal. We loved being able to go inside and outside as much as we wanted! There are pool bars and a food location all within Soundwaves so no need to leave the area! There is also an indoor and outdoor adults-only pool!
We spend a day and a half going down tube slides, body slides, playing in the wave pool, lazy river, and more. There is seriously so much to do! Emma Kate was the best kind of tired at the end of the day. I also love that there is only one entrance/exit so we could let EK go play in the kid’s area still within sight of us but not worry about her going anywhere far from where our chairs were.
2.) Lost Treasure Flatboat Voyage:
This is a twist on the regular boat ride that they have at other times of the year. You are on the hunt for a special treasure, and at the end, all the kids get a prize. It was a fun way to explore the atrium and its beauty and Emma Kate loved it, however, older kids may think it’s a little cheesy.
3.) Gaylord Opryland and The Princess’s Shiny Stash Treasure Hunt:
My kid LOVES a good scavenger or treasure hunt! We picked up our booklet and the hints took us aaallll around the property (warning, it’s a good bit of walking so wear comfy shoes or break up the hunt into two “sessions.”)
She got so excited when she would spot the next spot. At the end, you take your booklet back and get a surprise for finishing the quest. Super cute and fun!
4.) Gaylord Opryland Summer of more Coffer Crafts:
This is a great hands-on activity for little ones if you want a few minutes to slow down and sit for a bit! We got to pick two crafts and they had examples of “finished products” so we could make sure we were doing them right! EK made a foam pirate ship and got a decorate yourself cookie (of course she did.) It was nice to slow things down for a few minutes and sit while she worked on it.
5.) Fantasy & Folklore Atrium & Fountain Show
This light, water, and music show is a great way to cap off your evening! It’s in the Delta atrium and plays three times on the hour in the evenings. It’s beautiful and not to be missed!
There were other Gaylord Opryland summer of more offerings we didn’t have a chance to experience such as royal carriage rides, the pirate and princess academy, and even a tea party, but that just means we have to go back, right?
