Friday Favorites: Hulu

December 2, 2011 | Uncategorized

Happy Friday friends! I spend all day yesterday thinking it was Wednesday, so it’s a pleasant surprise that today is Friday. I spent yesterday doing some work, house cleaning, and I also did some ab work and arm work, you know, things I can do in the boot. Today I plan to do more of the same, and finish hanging our outside Christmas lights so I can have some picture for yall this weekend. Since I don’t have them yet, here is a fun picture of frozen Bella in her evil sweater. Yes friends, she stayed frozen like this for a minute or two until I fixed it. Poor baby.

I haven’t done Friday Favorites in a couple weeks so I figured it was time for another round! So what am I loving this week? Hulu! Well, actually, I love Hulu every week, but since I have been in the boot, I have tried to stay on the couch a bit more because it’s so cumbersome. When I need a break from work I can’t go run, so instead I watch reruns of Desperate housewives (my new addiction. Why have I never watched this before?) Today I caught up on last week’s Biggest Loser, which really made me miss running!

You can even pay for Hulu plus and watch even more shows, on more devices, in HD with no advertisements. I have been tempted to pay for Hulu plus for awhile but haven’t taken the plunge. Has anyone done this? What do you think? I may try the one week free trial.

Hulu will even recommend new shows for you based on what you watch, and it also will tell you what the most recent and most popular episodes are for any given day.

Hulu is especially great in the summer when all of my favorite shows are on hiatus until fall comes, and there is no football to watch (sad times for Heather and Bobby!)

But not anymore, since I discovered Hulu a year of so ago. Happiness!!!

I have some mad ups, yo.

QOYD: Do you watch television online? Do you use Hulu or another site? which one?

YES! I use HULU all the time. I am never home when my favorite shows are on, so I always catch them online when I can 🙂

Just stopping by to say that I miss you! I really wish you lived closer so we could hang out again. Hope that things get better with your foot soon. My husband was in a boot/cast about a month ago (tendonitis) but he is feeling better now. He is going to run/walk the half marathon with me in Vegas on Sunday!
Hey, when I get back I want to talk to you about pricing a Disney vacation for the first week of April. We are flexible on dates, number of days but may want to meet my sister’s family there sometime that week.

I love Hulu, too! We subscribe to Hulu plus but unfortunately, they still play commercials. :0(
Hope you are doing ok with the boot!

I LOVE Hulu and I do pay for plus, since a lot of shows have moved to that. However I don’t have cable so 7.99/month is better than 59.99/month. Ha! I DO hate the commercials though, I wish there was a way to watch like 2-3 mins of them at a time to bank your time. I never realized how precious they were during a show though when I need to use the RR. B/c Apparently I don’t know how to pause? Anyway! Enjoy your weekend!

I hate the commercials too. I TRY to remember to just DVR things so I dont have to watch commercials but I never remember!

We didn’t set out looking for a “perfect” trip… we We didn’t set out looking for a “perfect” trip… we just needed a break from the noise.
What we found in Florida was something better than that. #ad

Our first stop in Auburndale was all about slowing down in the best way. We stayed in a cozy tiny home at Camp Margaritaville (you can also stay in an RV!). We enjoyed coffee on the porch, our daughter loved the pool and waterslide (there is even a splash zone for the littles!), and at night we slowed things down with s’mores instead of screens. It felt like nature + comfort + family time all finally in the same place. They have so many other amenities like mini golf, golf cart rentals, pickleball, a playground, cornhole, and more. Nearby, we explored the Florida Children’s Museum and had incredible food and drinks at Smith’s American Tavern and Black & Brew Coffee.

Then, we headed over to Fort Myers to experience a completely different side of the state. Shelling walks at sunrise, beach volleyball, pool cabanas, and the kind of Gulf sunsets that make everyone go quiet for a minute. Direct beach access at the Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers made it effortless to go from “let’s check it out” to toes in the sand in minutes. There were several restaurants on property, so we never even got in our car. That plus live music, fire pits, the spa, and lawn games made it easy to want to stay put and relax.

What stood out most wasn’t just the scenery… it was how easy it was to actually be together here. No rushing or overplanning. That’s the true Floridays feeling for me. Laid-back, a little unexpected, and exactly what we didn’t know we needed. 🌴☀️

When the Smoky Mountain heat gets unbearable, we h When the Smoky Mountain heat gets unbearable, we head to Pigeon Forge Snow. ❄️ #sponsored

One of our favorite family activities in Pigeon Forge because you can snow tube year-round, rain or shine, without worrying about the weather outside.

My daughter could do the tubing hill over and over, and the indoor snow play area makes it even more fun. Honestly such a good break from the summer heat. Plus, it’s super close to nearby attractions like Dollywood and several mountain coasters.

Here is my favorite in park Disneyland character e Here is my favorite in park Disneyland character experience: The Plaza Inn character breakfast. Here are a few things to know:

✨ Meet Minnie before you even enter the restaurant and get photos with her + a photopass photographer.
✨ Food is all you can eat. Minnie waffles, bacon, eggs, pastries, fruit, and more!
✨ Multiple characters visit your table throughout the meal.
✨ Reservations are a must and can book up quickly!

This was such a fun way to start a park day and meet several characters without spending part of the day waiting in character lines.

Getting in a walk or run when I can. Actually drinking my water. Sticking to a skincare routine instead of overthinking it. Paying attention to my hair and scalp instead of just throwing it up and moving on. Nothing extreme, just consistency in the basics.

I’ve also been using Mochi Health for personalized skincare and hair support, and it’s made it way easier to stay on track without guessing what my skin or hair needs.

If you want to try it, there’s $40 off your first month through the link in my bio. @joinmochi #joinmochi mochihealth

Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro took part in Cork to Fork on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, and every bite felt like a love letter to local flavor. From bourbon-glazed pork belly to a warm cinnamon-bourbon bread pudding that honestly didn’t stand a chance at our table… this was one of those meals you remember.

Mountain views, chef-driven dishes, and whiskey worked right into the menu in the best way. 😋

If this is what “one stop” on Cork to Fork looks like… I’m curious what the rest tastes like! Head to the website ( 🔗 in bio) to learn more about the trail and download your free digital passport! @tnwhiskeytrail
