Princess Time

February 22, 2012 | Disney, fitness, running, Running Skirts, Travel, Uncategorized

Good morning! I am in a fabulous mood, I leave for my parents today, then early tomorrow morning for DISNEY! I can’t believe it’s finally here. Karen and I have been planning this for a year. I finally got my schedule from run Disney, so I thought I would share with you some of the fun things I will be doing for the next 5 days.

Thursday I fly in, check in to the Animal Kingdom lodge (a room to myself for the night!) Then will probably hit the pool or one of the parks. We don’t have to be anywhere until our welcome dinner that night.

Friday morning we have the Tweet up and run with Jeff Galloway through EPCOT. Then, we have some free time before heading to the Expo and picking up our packets and doing some shopping. I told Juli who will be working the Running Skirts booth I would swing by and help her for a few minutes. Then my mom, Karen, and her mom meet me there and we go check in at the Grand Floridian and relax, aahhhh. Then that night it’s Pasta Party time in EPCOT!

Saturday morning will have an early wake up call for the 5k, also in EPCOT. My mom is the only one not running this one so she will meet us at the finish. We will hang at the park some then I have to zip over to the kids races for a bit then I have more free time. My blogger meet up is at 3:00 at the Grand Floridian, then I have a special dinner with the runDisney folks at Via Napoli.

Sunday morning is a REALLY early wake up call…I have access to the race retreat before the half, then me, my mom, and Karen will run the Princess half marathon. After the race, the official runDisney part of the weekend is over, but we are staying till Tuesday! We will go to the parks Sunday and eat dinner at 1900 Park Fare.

Monday, we will hit up the parks again and then we have dinner at ‘Ohana, before we drive home Tuesday morning. WHEW I am exhausted just reading all of that, but I can’t WAIT either!!!

Oh, also I plan to reveal my costume for the half on Thursday or Friday so stay tuned, and be sure to say hello if you see me!

————————————–

I can’t remember if I mentioned it or not, but a couple weeks ago I was sent to the YMCA when they were filming for a news segment. Our facility is brand new, so the news was profiling it, so I “worked out” on the elliptical during the segment. Here it is!

haha.  be sure to check out the other time I was on television.

QOTD: Have you ever been on TV? What for?

Yay! Oh, and I have a dinner ressie for Via Napoli at 7pm on Saturday too. Although, I’ve been thinking of canceling because I was thinking it would put me back at my resort so late that night and I am worried about not getting enough sleep. Like I’m going to be able to sleep anyway!

QOTD: yes, I was interviewed for the news several years ago when the LA Kings were in the playoffs. I was decked out in Kings gear and they were doing a piece on women fans and hockey violence. I got a lot of airtime in the bit! LMAO! I also was an extra in a Japanese 7up commercial, but I never actually saw that one on TV.

#ad Turns out my patio didn’t need a full makeover #ad Turns out my patio didn’t need a full makeover… it just needed the right planters 🌿

I walked into @loweshomeimprovement (garden center = instant mood boost) and found these allen + roth & planters that look designer but are actually budget-friendly. Exactly the kind of upgrade I love: big impact without the big price tag.

Swipe to see the before → after because WOW. New planters + fresh plants completely brought this space back to life. I love how versatile they are too, perfect for patios, porches, or even indoors. If your outdoor space is looking a little… tired (same 😅), this is your sign to refresh it for spring.

Grab them in-store at Lowe’s or through the link in my bio 🔗

Tour of a 2 bedroom villa at Disney’s Saratoga Spr Tour of a 2 bedroom villa at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa in Walt Disney World! ☀️

Things we love about staying in a 2 BR villa as opposed to a “regular” hotel room:
-Tons of space (we shared with my parents)
-full kitchen/full fridge and freezer
-washer and dryer
-full living room and dining area
-multiple bathrooms

Things we ❤️ about this resort in general:
-Can walk to Disney Springs from certain buildings
-Multiple pools and slides
-cheaper than most other villas
-Rooms seem more spacious than some villas
-Peaceful/golf course/lots of landscaping/walking paths
-Has a spa!

It’s Friday. Jesus is praying. Peter’s a sleeping. It’s Friday.
Jesus is praying.
Peter’s a sleeping.
Judas is betraying.
But Sunday’s comin’.

It’s Friday.
Pilate’s struggling.
The council is conspiring.
The crowd is vilifying.
They don’t even know that Sunday’s comin’.

It’s Friday.
The disciples are running
Like sheep without a shepherd.
Mary’s crying.
Peter is denying.
But they don’t know that Sunday’s a comin’.

It’s Friday.
The Romans beat my Jesus.
They robe him in scarlet.
They crown him with thorns.
But they don’t know that Sunday’s comin’.

It’s Friday.
See Jesus walking to Calvary.
His blood dripping.
His body stumbling.
And his spirit’s burdened.
But you see, it’s only Friday.
Sunday’s comin’.

It’s Friday.
The world’s winning.
People are sinning.
And evil’s grinning.

It’s Friday.
The soldiers nail my Savior’s hands to the cross.
They nail my Savior’s feet to the cross.
And then they raise him up next to criminals.

It’s Friday.
But let me tell you something,
Sunday’s comin’.

It’s Friday.
The disciples are questioning.
What has happened to their King.
And the Pharisees are celebrating
That their scheming has been achieved.
But they don’t know It’s only Friday.
Sunday’s comin’.

It’s Friday.
He’s hanging on the cross.
Feeling forsaken by his Father.
Left alone and dying.
Can nobody save him?
Ooooh It’s Friday.
But Sunday’s comin’.

It’s Friday.
The earth trembles.
The sky grows dark.
My King yields his spirit.
It’s Friday.
Hope is lost.
Death has won.
Sin has conquered and Satan’s just a laughin’.

It’s Friday.
Jesus is buried.
A soldier stands guard.
And a rock is rolled into place.
But it’s Friday. It is only Friday.
Sunday is a comin’! ☀️

For spring break we headed to South Louisiana to v For spring break we headed to South Louisiana to visit family, and it was the peaceful, non hurried time I didn’t know I needed.

We fished, collected chicken eggs, rode golf carts, had target practice, went for walks, played games, danced, laughed, stayed up late, and watched the sunrise. EK lived her best country girl life, casting like a pro and learning how to unhook the fish. She hung out in the chicken coop, and stayed outside all day long. ☀️❤️

One day we had a mini family reunion and were blessed with perfect weather. I wanted to slow down time and make it last longer, but it just means we have to do it again. 🥰 So thankful for so much love in my life!
