A Friends Thanksgiving

November 22, 2011 | Uncategorized

Yesterday, I may or may not have spent several hours on the couch watching TBS, they were airing all the FRIENDS Thanksgiving episodes, and I have to say, they are my favorites by far…and I have every single one memorized. You know a TV show is really funny when you are sitting home by yourself and you still laugh out loud.

Here are some of my favorite clips of all time from Thanksgiving FRIENDS episodes.

Lightning confessions…..

Monica’s Turkey Head…

The I hate Rachel Green Club…

Chandler in a box…

I could go on and on with my favorites but those are just a few. I do have a question though….how come none of the Friends ever were with their own families for Thanksgiving? HHhmmm? Either way, I always wished the friends were MY friends, anyone else? I also wish my Thanksgivings were as fun and eventful as theirs!

————————————-

Yesterday I ran an easy paced 2.5 miles. My foot didn’t hurt, I just felt some pressure on my foot in that area. Does that make sense? I am thinking of running a Turkey Trot on Thursday so hopefully my foot will hold up for a 5k.

THANKSGIVING WEEK THANKFULNESS: Today I am thankful for the ability to run. I know I get minor aches, pains, and injuries, but even through all of that I still have the ability to put one foot in front of the other, and I try not to take it for granted.

QOTD: Did/do you watch Friends? What is your favorite line from the show? Or favorite episode?

We used to watch the reruns all the time before the kids took over our evening TV time 🙂 Our favorite quote/line/etc from the show: “Pivot! Pivot!” From the scene when Ross is directing them how to move the couch up a flight of stairs. We use it often 🙂

yup! used to watch friends too. Of course, the part that comes to mind for some reason was when Rachel drunk dialed Ross and left the message that she was over him, and when he listened to the message and said “you’re over me? when were you under me?”

We are actually re-watching all of the Friends episodes! We just started season 4. We quote the trifle lines all the time “It tastes like FEET!” “Meat.. gooooood”. And of course “It’s a moo point.”

I love Friends! I’ve been watching all the TBS episodes this week too. I love the clips you chose, and I seriously wish I could be friends with Chandler, Monica, and the gang! 🙂 Good luck on your Turkey Trot! My husband and I aren’t going to enter one, but we’re going to create our own route and do a run Thanksgiving morning. Happy Thanksgiving!

You are completely right – the Thanksgiving episodes ARE the best! I never quite realized that before 🙂 The football game is one of my favorites – but all of the clips you showed are hilarious too! “That’s a lot of information to get in 30 seconds…”

I watched Friends, but not all the time. I didn’t get into it until the re-runs. I hope the foot feels better. I’m battling foot pain of my own, and it’s no picnic!

LOVE the Friends Thanksgiving episodes! I think the one you have listed above as “Lightning Confessions” when Rachel makes the trifle with beef may be my favorite! My cousin even started making a trifle everything Thanksgiving just because of it!

We didn’t set out looking for a “perfect” trip… we We didn’t set out looking for a “perfect” trip… we just needed a break from the noise.
What we found in Florida was something better than that. #ad

Our first stop in Auburndale was all about slowing down in the best way. We stayed in a cozy tiny home at Camp Margaritaville (you can also stay in an RV!). We enjoyed coffee on the porch, our daughter loved the pool and waterslide (there is even a splash zone for the littles!), and at night we slowed things down with s’mores instead of screens. It felt like nature + comfort + family time all finally in the same place. They have so many other amenities like mini golf, golf cart rentals, pickleball, a playground, cornhole, and more. Nearby, we explored the Florida Children’s Museum and had incredible food and drinks at Smith’s American Tavern and Black & Brew Coffee.

Then, we headed over to Fort Myers to experience a completely different side of the state. Shelling walks at sunrise, beach volleyball, pool cabanas, and the kind of Gulf sunsets that make everyone go quiet for a minute. Direct beach access at the Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers made it effortless to go from “let’s check it out” to toes in the sand in minutes. There were several restaurants on property, so we never even got in our car. That plus live music, fire pits, the spa, and lawn games made it easy to want to stay put and relax.

What stood out most wasn’t just the scenery… it was how easy it was to actually be together here. No rushing or overplanning. That’s the true Floridays feeling for me. Laid-back, a little unexpected, and exactly what we didn’t know we needed. 🌴☀️

One of our favorite family activities in Pigeon Forge because you can snow tube year-round, rain or shine, without worrying about the weather outside.

My daughter could do the tubing hill over and over, and the indoor snow play area makes it even more fun. Honestly such a good break from the summer heat. Plus, it’s super close to nearby attractions like Dollywood and several mountain coasters.

Here is my favorite in park Disneyland character e Here is my favorite in park Disneyland character experience: The Plaza Inn character breakfast. Here are a few things to know:

✨ Meet Minnie before you even enter the restaurant and get photos with her + a photopass photographer.
✨ Food is all you can eat. Minnie waffles, bacon, eggs, pastries, fruit, and more!
✨ Multiple characters visit your table throughout the meal.
✨ Reservations are a must and can book up quickly!

This was such a fun way to start a park day and meet several characters without spending part of the day waiting in character lines.

Getting in a walk or run when I can. Actually drinking my water. Sticking to a skincare routine instead of overthinking it. Paying attention to my hair and scalp instead of just throwing it up and moving on. Nothing extreme, just consistency in the basics.

I’ve also been using Mochi Health for personalized skincare and hair support, and it’s made it way easier to stay on track without guessing what my skin or hair needs.

Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro took part in Cork to Fork on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, and every bite felt like a love letter to local flavor. From bourbon-glazed pork belly to a warm cinnamon-bourbon bread pudding that honestly didn’t stand a chance at our table… this was one of those meals you remember.

Mountain views, chef-driven dishes, and whiskey worked right into the menu in the best way. 😋
