A Great Year

January 15, 2012 | Uncategorized

It’s no secret that I am a huge football fan. Specifically the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints. Both my teams lost this week, but we still had an amazing year of football here in Louisiana. We played our hearts out, and I couldn’t be more proud. I have done a few other posts about my beloved teams:

Superbowl Baby!

Drew Brees is my Hero

Today my parents, Bobby and I went out to lunch before the big game.

It was fun seeing everyone all decked out in their Saints gear, even all of the employees! Later, my aunt and her friend came over and we all watched the game. Unfortunately, you can’t win a game when you have five turnovers. Such a heartbreaker, I am so sad. I really thought we were going to win. Always next year right? Regardless of the outcome, I am still a always a Saints fan.

QOTD: Who do you think will play in the superbowl?

Awwww, sorry for your loss! Seriously though, it’s always sad when your team is done for the season:( Are you still planning to watch the Superbowl?

I love your consistent support for your teams! I know it can be hard during a heartbreaking loss – but like you said, there’s always next year! 🙂

I’m glad you had a great season cheering on both of your teams! It’s not just about the win, but the joy in cheering and enjoying the game as a whole! Looking forward to next year…

I was so bummed the Saints lost. and the Broncos. Not really a big football fan but I like Brees and Tebow.

I like everyone’s Saints gear. I wanted them to win too, even though I don’t really care about the NFL. Our local team is the Panthers and while they did better this year than last year, they didn’t make the playoffs. Clay and I aren’t huge NFL fans, though. Either way- both the Saints & LSU had a great year, and it’s so neat that your whole community rallies around the teams like that.

Is it just me or does the lighting in those pictures make my forehead look huge…or is my forehead just huge?
Stinks about the Saint’s, we were sooo close. And we would now be playing the Giants in the dome had we won!

It will be YOU. 🎄 They don’t know it yet. But whe It will be YOU. 🎄

They don’t know it yet. But
when they’re grown and starting
their own Christmas traditions,
it will be you they mirror.
Your family recipes,
the Christmas songs,
the nostalgic smell.

When they think of Christmas,
it will be YOU, not the presents
that they remember.

You are their memories.
You are their magic.
You are their Christmas. ❤️🎄

So slow down. Stop worrying if the presents are wrapped just right, if you baked enough cookies or picked out the right cards to send. It doesn’t matter. They will remember YOU.
