A Word for 2025

You may have noticed I have been quieter on the blog in the past year. No Christmas post, 15 year blogiversary post, and really, not many posts at all. To be honest, I had stretched myself too thin, and most of my audience has gone over to Instagram anyway and I just didn’t see the point in spending my time over here. This blog is what started it all, and it will always be my baby. I have no plans to get rid of it, actually quite the opposite. I would love to get back to the roots of sharing my life here, going deeper into long form thoughts, sharing things and links I am loving, and what my family is up to.

I have been praying and thinking about what this would look like, and the answer is….I am not 100% sure. So you will be figuring it out right along with me. If there is something specific you would like to see in this space, please shoot me an email or Instagram DM! I am always open to hearing from you.

I may not know exactly what I want to do, but I know I want to encourage and inspire people, women in particular. Life is too short to live daily doing things you don’t love or care about. I definitely don’t have it all figured out, but I would like to think I have a few nuggets to share! I want to not just survive in 2025, I want to FLOURISH and THRIVE! I want that for you as well.

Here are the pillars I want to focus on for the year:

-Embracing personal growth: This may look like reading, writing, listening, discussing, and not getting distracted/I don’t want to be unproductive (aka scrolling).

-Look for daily enhancements to my life: (or “magic makers”) Things don’t have to be grand to be magical. It is what you make of it. I want to find joy and little things that enhance my life every day, so that it adds up to something I am proud of.

-Having energy in all I do: This can look like physical energy and taking care of my body, but also mental energy. Where is my focus going? Am I allowing myself to dwell on things I can’t change? Am I being intentional?

I feel like there are SO many different directions I can go with this, and right now I’m a little overwhelmed and my mind is mush. I just know I want 2025 to be a year of pivot, in some way. Life is flying by me, and I don’t have time to have regrets. I would love it if you would join me on this journey as I work in these 3 main areas of life this year.
