Baby M’s Baby Shower

July 22, 2014 | family, pregnancy

Sorry it took me so long to get these photos up, with the move and everything else going on we have been super busy around here! I had a GREAT baby shower hosted by some wonderful people on July 12th.

156

I was kicked out of the house the morning of the shower, so my mom and I went to lunch while the busy bees decorated. When I came back, everything looked beautiful! Karen handmade most of the decorations (if not all!) and they worked hard on all of the food, etc.

Karen made this wreath for baby M! She attached chalkboards to it later so we can put it on the hospital door with her height, weight, etc.

The first game has a bunch of questions like “what is Heather’s favorite dessert” etc. and whoever got the most right got a prize.

The next game everyone had to tear off some paper and guess how big around my stomach was. Jennifer was obviously super close.

176

Baby M was given some amazing and super sweet gifts.

She is already so spoiled and we are so thankful for everyone’s generosity! I had a great shower, and am so glad so many people were there to help us celebrate the upcoming arrival of my baby girl.

QOTD: Have you ever played games at a baby shower? What is your favorite food toe at at any kind of shower?

Your friend is AWESOME! Love the wreath for the front door and at the hospital! SUPER CUTE! Looks like a ton of fun. At my shower and every shower I have been to they always play the “Name that poop” game. (a melted candy bar in a diaper and you have to sniff it and try to figure out what candy it is.)

What a gorgeous shower! And it looks like Baby M got a lot of great stuff! Yes I’ve played games at baby showers! I just went to one this past weekend and we played the one where you melt candy bars into diapers and then have to guess what diaper had which candy bar. Kind of gross lol!

The food looks so good. The most recent baby shower I went to had French pastries since the father’s French. I don’t know where they got the croissants but I could’ve eaten the entire plate of them.

One time I played the game where we had to guess how big the mom-to-be’s bump was. I was within a centimeter! Also, I’ve played “Present Bingo” where you fill in the squares with what you THINK Mom will get, and play along as she opens her gifts. It keeps people involved.

I was so tired of dragging around heavy, clunky ba I was so tired of dragging around heavy, clunky bags on my trips! ✈️

So I invested in the Carry-On from @hulkenbag! It’s lightweight, sleek, and glides effortlessly wherever I go. It has 4 pockets and opens from the top, so it’s very easy to grab things in flight! I’ve got room for everything I need and can fit all my devices, snacks, books, and a neck pillow seamlessly inside.

I always pair my Carry-On with the Schlep Stack because who has time to dig through a messy bag? 👜✨

Trust me, Hulken is a total game-changer!

2016 was a VERY big year for us. Moving states. Running multiple businesses. Being accused of getting a divorce. 🤣🫣 People are wild, yall.

Looking back they were some hard, wild times and I now know more hard times were ahead for us, but I wouldn’t change any of it. I know it’s part of our story, God had a plan, and there is a reason for it all. Just gotta keep keeping on! ❤️
