Today I am officially 38 weeks pregnant! I have my weekly doctorβs appointment this morning, and I am quite anxious to hear what she has to say. Last week we discussed possible induction, but it will depend on how I am progressing. I would prefer to go into labor on my own, but also donβt want to go past my due date due to baby Mβs already large size and my desire for a vaginal delivery.
Anyway, I will have my weekly update up tomorrow, but I thought it would be fun to do a baby pool. My fellow coworkers have started guessing so I thought an βofficialβ pool would make things easier, and all of my blog readers can join in! There MAY even be a prize for the person who wins, so there is some incentive to get it right!
So how does it work? Itβs easy, just go to baby Mβs Baby Pool page and enter in your guesses for day, time, weight, etc. Should be fun!
QOTD: Have you ever participated in or won a baby pool? Are you good at guessing things like this?

SO excited for you!
How fun! I’ve never done a baby pool before! So excited for you!!!
What a fun idea!!
Well Heather, I am going to guess that you will deliver September 21st on my birthday. Lol
Baby M will be 20 inches long
Baby M will be 7 lbs 6 oz
I am thinking late in the evening you will go into labor.
Praying that you will have a safe and wonderful delivery experience!
be sure to put your guess in on the actual baby pool website (the link is in the post) so it will get counted! π Thanks for the well wishes!
How fun!! I guessed!
I’d hold off on induction, if you can, those sonogram estimates are notoriously off – sometimes by as much as 2 pounds! I started labor naturally, and then had to get a pitocin “boost” because I wasn’t progressing, and OMG it was a million times worse than natural contractions. I don’t know your pain medication plans, but it was HARD to do it pain med free on pitocin. Just something to keep in mind.
I plan to get an epidural ASAP if I am induced. I am already over 3 cm dilated and 70% effaced, so she said it won’t be a problem to get it right away if I want. I have a low pain threshold so an epi was the plan all along anyway π
