Bobby’s Thirty!

June 6, 2013 | family

I am married to someone in their 30’s. I used to think this was SO old, and now it’s happening in my life. Today is Bobby’s 30th birthday!

Isn’t he a stud? I am one lucky gal. I met Bobby when he was the ripe old age of 21. We got married when he was 23, and now I get to make fun of him for two years until I turn 30.

We have had some great times together. He is so silly, and always makes me laugh.

he is also my biggest cheerleader.

We have been celebrating his birthday for a few years now

Bobby’s 25th birthday

And I can’t wait to celebrate many more with him. I love you Bobby, happy 30th birthday!

QOTD: Do you celebrate milestone birthdays a little more than regular ones? (18, 21, 25, 30, 40, etc.)

I turned 30 this year and always thought when I was younger that I would feel like I had it all figured out by this age and would feel more ‘mature’.

Funny how that doesn’t actually happen! Hope Bobby enjoyed his birthday.

That never happens. I turned 41 this year and I thought I’d feel like a grown up by 25. Still waiting.

Happy Birthday to Bobby! My husband is 5 months YOUNGER than me, so he’ll get to tease me for a little while when I turn 30 and his still in his twenties. Luckily, we’ve got 3 more years to go before we have to worry about that!

I haven’t really celebrated milestone birthdays due to circumstances going on at the time, for all of 18, 21 and 25. I really hope there will be happy things going on in 2 years for 30.

When you’re young you think everyone is old. When you get there, you just feel like you’re the same person you ever were. Age is just a number. Happy Birthday to Bobby!

Happy Birthday to Bobby! Oh to be 30… now that it’s past me it sounds so delightfully young! I can say this: every year gets better AND with every new age group I enter I seem to get faster. So at least there’s that!

When I was still in my late 20’s, I’ve felt like I’m getting so old. I want time to slow down a little bit. Right now, I’m so happy in my early 30’s since I felt like I’ve enjoyed my younger days. Anyway, Happy Birthday, Bobby! 😀

I didn’t realize how much mental space hair removal was taking up until it just… wasn’t anymore. Between games, trips, and everything in between, having something I can do at home in minutes has been a total game changer. The app-guided treatments keep me consistent without having to think about it, and I’m already noticing smoother skin that actually lasts. And yes — the full-body, 10-minute-at-home situation still feels a little unreal.

If you’ve been on the fence, Prime Day (June 14–27) is definitely the moment to check it out with $120 off. #BraunSmartIPL

We didn’t set out looking for a “perfect” trip… we We didn’t set out looking for a “perfect” trip… we just needed a break from the noise.
What we found in Florida was something better than that. #ad

Our first stop in Auburndale was all about slowing down in the best way. We stayed in a cozy tiny home at Camp Margaritaville (you can also stay in an RV!). We enjoyed coffee on the porch, our daughter loved the pool and waterslide (there is even a splash zone for the littles!), and at night we slowed things down with s’mores instead of screens. It felt like nature + comfort + family time all finally in the same place. They have so many other amenities like mini golf, golf cart rentals, pickleball, a playground, cornhole, and more. Nearby, we explored the Florida Children’s Museum and had incredible food and drinks at Smith’s American Tavern and Black & Brew Coffee.

Then, we headed over to Fort Myers to experience a completely different side of the state. Shelling walks at sunrise, beach volleyball, pool cabanas, and the kind of Gulf sunsets that make everyone go quiet for a minute. Direct beach access at the Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers made it effortless to go from “let’s check it out” to toes in the sand in minutes. There were several restaurants on property, so we never even got in our car. That plus live music, fire pits, the spa, and lawn games made it easy to want to stay put and relax.

What stood out most wasn’t just the scenery… it was how easy it was to actually be together here. No rushing or overplanning. That’s the true Floridays feeling for me. Laid-back, a little unexpected, and exactly what we didn’t know we needed. 🌴☀️

When the Smoky Mountain heat gets unbearable, we h When the Smoky Mountain heat gets unbearable, we head to Pigeon Forge Snow. ❄️ #sponsored

One of our favorite family activities in Pigeon Forge because you can snow tube year-round, rain or shine, without worrying about the weather outside.

My daughter could do the tubing hill over and over, and the indoor snow play area makes it even more fun. Honestly such a good break from the summer heat. Plus, it’s super close to nearby attractions like Dollywood and several mountain coasters.
