Hey all! I can’t believe once again Christmas has come and gone. I know I say that every year but it’s so true! The anticipation is so much fun…and then the let down of the day after is so real. Our tree is still up, but coming down soon. Everything else has been put away. But enough sadness, let’s look back at how FUN Christmas eve and day were!
Christmas eve day we hung around the house cleaning up, watching movies, and baking cookies for Santa.
Emma Kate loves decorating but I ended up doing all the actual baking!
We were having my parents and sister and her husband over for dinner, so Bobby made chicken and dumplings.
We had a laid back evening of sitting around and talking and watching Emma Kate sing and dance on the fireplace hearth. She loves an audience. After they left, we did our yearly tradition of reading the Christmas story out of the Bible and reading Twas the night before Christmas.
We put out the cookies and milk and off to bed she went.
I love sitting by the tree on Christmas eve. It’s just so magical.
In the morning we had a very excited little girl!
And now my house is a mess. But I love it.
After we had breakfast and got ready to go, we headed to my parents for lunch. (After taking some fun pics.)
We had so much food. Every year Bella watches as my dad carves the turkey…and she fusses.
After lunch we went home to walk Dolly and stopped by Bobby’s moms to see her. Then we took Dolly back to my parents for dinner. Christmas day is also my mom’s birthday so of course we had to celebrate her!
We had a great Christmas and hope you did too! Hoping next year we are able to be a little more back to normal, but so thankful for those we did get to see.
