Disney Fit Challenge

March 7, 2014 | Uncategorized

A NEW sporting event is coming to the ESPN Wide World of Sports this September! Disney will be hosting a Crossfit-style “Fit Challenge” for elite, intermediate, and recreational athletes. The event will be held September 26-28, and will be an indoor and outdoor event at the complex.

Check out part of the press release I was sent:

“Disney Fit Challenge will be a three-day event (Sept 26-28) involving athletes competing in different fitness challenges that test a participant’s speed, strength, skill, endurance, balance and power.  Challenges are designed based on age and skill level with more experienced athletes competing in movements such as muscle-ups and double-unders while recreational participants compete in movements that may include box jumps, kettle bell swings, push-ups, squats and broad jumps. Competitors with the highest scores in their division and age group from the first two days advance to the final day of competition.

A Health & Fitness Expo will feature the latest fitness merchandise, products and apparel during the competition….

Disney Sports is collaborating with I AM CrossFit, one of the leading competitive fitness organizations in the Southeast, on the staging of Disney Fit Challenge. The event is the first of its kind held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, which hosts more than 350 sports events each year, and builds on the complex’s wide variety of athletic events geared towards athletes of all ages and abilities.”

Registration for this event opens soon, March 18, so if you want to participate I wouldn’t wait to register. Daily admission for spectators is $16.50 for adults and $11.50 for children and can be purchased at the sports complex box office. Be sure to follow @DisneySports on Twitter for more information.

QOTD: Are you glad Disney is going to have this style of competition? Would this be something you would like to register for?

Can’t wait for more information to be posted! I would love to register and give this a go. Hoping the cost isn’t too extreme. To be a part of this inaugural event would be such a great moment.

I’ve been wanting to try Crossfit. If it’s good enough for Disney, it’s good enough for me! I’m really excited for another way to get fit in addition to running!

Launching PR, main website and email promotion, and paid campaigns
in as coordinated an effort as possible will help drive a burst of interest and hopefully downloads.
Unveiling a business or website is not an easy
task; it carries lots of pressure in the bearer mind.
With online businesses, it’s very important to have
good uptime, which means no downtime.

MARGARITAVILLE RESORT STAY GIFTAWAY! 🚨👇🏻 I’ll be MARGARITAVILLE RESORT STAY GIFTAWAY! 🚨👇🏻

I’ll be honest… I sometimes find beach resorts kind of repetitive.(ad)

Beach. Pool. Restaurant. Repeat.

But @margaritavillefortmyers surprised me. 🎉

What made it stand out wasn’t just the beautiful beach. It was the little things. A pool we kept coming back to, a location that made everything easy, sunsets right on property, spacious rooms, and that sweet spot of being family friendly without feeling like a kid-focused resort.

It ended up being one of those trips where we were already talking about coming back before we even left. I want one of you to experience this feeling for yourself, sssooooo….

🎉 Now YOU could be gifted a 2-night stay! 🚨

🏖️ Prize: Complimentary Two-Night Stay at Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach, Florida

I mean, he drove a red corvette and was two years older than me. 💁🏻‍♀️

Turns out he’s just been confidently weird this whole time and hiding it really well. 🤣

Anyone else married to a professional goofball? 🤦🏻‍♀️

If you’re planning a trip to Florida’s Forgotten C If you’re planning a trip to Florida’s Forgotten Coast, save this one. 🌊 #RentingTheCoastPartner

We stayed at Singing Waves in Cape San Blas, and it was everything we wanted in a beach getaway: beautiful views, plenty of space, and the kind of place that makes you slow down and actually enjoy vacation.

What really stood out, though, was Renting the Coast. They’re a locally owned, family run company that manages vacation homes throughout Cape San Blas, Port St. Joe, Mexico Beach, and the surrounding Forgotten Coast communities.

Instead of managing hundreds of properties, they intentionally keep their inventory smaller so they can provide a more personal experience for both guests and homeowners. They’re known for being accessible, responsive, and focused on making sure every stay goes smoothly.

If Cape San Blas has been on your travel list, Singing Waves is absolutely worth checking out, and so is Renting the Coast’s collection of homes along Florida’s most underrated stretch of coastline. ☀️

Ready to start planning your own Forgotten Coast getaway? Click the link in my bio to explore available homes and find the perfect spot for your next beach vacation.

Have you ever visited Cape San Blas?
