Disney Magic Photos

September 4, 2015 | blogging, Disney, Travel

I have really been missing cruising lately, and as I was going through some photos on my computer earlier this week, I came across these from when I sailed on the Disney Magic right after it was refurbished a couple of years ago. Disney went to great lengths to update this ship, and while it is still lacking in some areas, it looks much better than it did before.

One thing I love about the Magic is how cozy it feels. Bigger isn’t always better!

DSC_0360

Now that I have a little one, I have been paying more attention to photos of kid areas.

Yes, I went down the slinky dog slide!

DSC_0374

Superhero fun anyone?

DSC_0377

I did NOT go on the new waterslide!

Disney made the rooms all look like the staterooms on the Dream and the Fantasy.

Something a lot of people didn’t notice was that Disney added shaded areas over some of the pool chairs. Definitely needed!

Also don’t forget there is an all new restaurant that took the place of Parrot Cay.

Who is ready to sail on the Magic? Have you been on this ship, or any of the Disney cruise line ships? Which is your favorite? I would love to book your trip for you, it doesn’t cost you anything extra! heather@travelwiththemagic.com

I’ve been on the Dream twice (last time was concierge) and the Wonder once. I really liked the Wonder for the size and “coziness”, but the Dream concierge level is unreal. If they upgrade the Wonder to have a concierge lounge and other amenities like the Dream, I would definitely consider another cruise. I would love to do a 7-night on the Fantasy but they are pricing the average family out.

I just registered for the Castaway Cay Challenge after the WDW Marathon weekend next January. I’ve been on two cruises before, both with Norwegian Cruise Lines, but I’ve never been on a Disney cruise and my husband has never been on any cruise. I loved seeing these pictures of the Magic. It looks like such a beautiful ship, I hope the Dream will be as nice!

When the Smoky Mountain heat gets unbearable, we h When the Smoky Mountain heat gets unbearable, we head to Pigeon Forge Snow. ❄️ #sponsored

One of our favorite family activities in Pigeon Forge because you can snow tube year-round, rain or shine, without worrying about the weather outside.

My daughter could do the tubing hill over and over, and the indoor snow play area makes it even more fun. Honestly such a good break from the summer heat. Plus, it’s super close to nearby attractions like Dollywood and several mountain coasters.

Here is my favorite in park Disneyland character e Here is my favorite in park Disneyland character experience: The Plaza Inn character breakfast. Here are a few things to know:

✨ Meet Minnie before you even enter the restaurant and get photos with her + a photopass photographer.
✨ Food is all you can eat. Minnie waffles, bacon, eggs, pastries, fruit, and more!
✨ Multiple characters visit your table throughout the meal.
✨ Reservations are a must and can book up quickly!

This was such a fun way to start a park day and meet several characters without spending part of the day waiting in character lines.

👉🏻When you book your vacation with @bestdayevervacay, they handle all your dining reservations for you so you don’t have to worry about it! It’s such a great perk and one you don’t have to pay extra for! Check out the 🔗 in my bio to learn more. (Affiliate)

Getting in a walk or run when I can. Actually drinking my water. Sticking to a skincare routine instead of overthinking it. Paying attention to my hair and scalp instead of just throwing it up and moving on. Nothing extreme, just consistency in the basics.

I’ve also been using Mochi Health for personalized skincare and hair support, and it’s made it way easier to stay on track without guessing what my skin or hair needs.

If you want to try it, there’s $40 off your first month through the link in my bio. @joinmochi #joinmochi mochihealth

Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro took part in Cork to Fork on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, and every bite felt like a love letter to local flavor. From bourbon-glazed pork belly to a warm cinnamon-bourbon bread pudding that honestly didn’t stand a chance at our table… this was one of those meals you remember.

Mountain views, chef-driven dishes, and whiskey worked right into the menu in the best way. 😋

If this is what “one stop” on Cork to Fork looks like… I’m curious what the rest tastes like! Head to the website ( 🔗 in bio) to learn more about the trail and download your free digital passport! @tnwhiskeytrail
