Family Photos

October 21, 2013 | family

I found some old pictures of my grandparents that I wanted to share. In love history and looking at old photos.
This is of my dad’s parents, growing up in New Orleans, they got married in the early 1950’s.

My grandfather played football and baseball. He was an amazing baseball player and was going pro after college but he threw his shoulder out. Check out some of the clippings and photos I found in his scrapbook:

How fun! I found tons more, and pictures of my dad as a kid. Maybe I will share more later. šŸ™‚

I love finding old photographs! My grandmother often takes out a bunch she has saved. It’s so cool to see pictures of people she has talked about but I didn’t get to meet. I also love to see my grandparents when they were younger.

I always love going through old photos! My grandfather is very big into genealogy (my grandmother was at well), so he’s constantly coming across new photos to share. My mom recently sent me a copy of one of my great-grandmother (my grandfather’s mom) holding my mom. It was the last photo taken of my great-grandmother before she passed away. Its always fun to look through the photos and see family resemblance – when I opened the envelope and saw the picture I instantly could tell that she was my grandfather’s mother.

Aww loves these! Your grandparents look really sweet — and I definitely see a family resemblance. I’m guessing the athlete was your dad’s dad? They look alike!

    Aww beautiful pictures Heather.

Of course! I adore looking at oldies but goodies! Can’t imagine anyone that wouldn’t enjoy some fab history.

These photos were very unique in the 40’s, 50’s & even 60’s. Just nice.

We have lots and lots in our household. For many years I’ve had mom & dad’s wedding photos (2) displayed. Pic of my daddy’s mama from when she was very young are gorgeous. So interesting to see and have.

    Thanks for sharing.

Getting in a walk or run when I can. Actually drinking my water. Sticking to a skincare routine instead of overthinking it. Paying attention to my hair and scalp instead of just throwing it up and moving on. Nothing extreme, just consistency in the basics.

I’ve also been using Mochi Health for personalized skincare and hair support, and it’s made it way easier to stay on track without guessing what my skin or hair needs.

If you want to try it, there’s $40 off your first month through the link in my bio. @joinmochi #joinmochi mochihealth

Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro took part in Cork to Fork on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, and every bite felt like a love letter to local flavor. From bourbon-glazed pork belly to a warm cinnamon-bourbon bread pudding that honestly didn’t stand a chance at our table… this was one of those meals you remember.

Mountain views, chef-driven dishes, and whiskey worked right into the menu in the best way. šŸ˜‹

I started noticing little signs during my normal day. Just occasional bloating, gas, and that slightly ā€œoffā€ feeling. So instead of ignoring it, I listened. I slowed down, moved more consistently, and added Align Probiotic to my routine.

It’s one capsule a day and the #1 doctor-recommended probiotic brand for over 15 years—. I started taking Align to help relieve my occasional gas, bloating, and stomach discomfort* and now I feel more comfortable moving through my day. @alignprobiotic
