Magic Kingdom Day! MK is my favorite, so I was really excited to be back in the most magical place and play all day long. It was gloomy and chilly to start which was a bummer, but couldn’t dampen my spirit! We immediately hit up as many rides as we could.
I don’t remember everything exactly, but know we did Haunter Mansion, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Ariel, and Buzz Lightyear.
Emma Kate really wanted cotton candy, and we are usually sticklers about sugar at home, so it was a big treat for her to get it. She was super happy!
I want to say about this time I started getting hungry, and realized I really wasn’t in the mood for a hamburger or something similar. I checked the app and was able to get us a table at Liberty Tree Tavern! We can eat semi healthy there plus it’s nice to sit down and just chill for a bit. While we were waiting to go in, we saw some friends.
We enjoyed our meal, it was nice to have things like turkey and green beans and not just french fries and such. Of course the highlight was the dessert, ooey gooey toffee cake!
It was time to go back out and ride some more rides, but not before a quick photoshoot, of course.
I’m struggling to remember exactly what we did haha! I think I went to get coffee while Bobby and EK rode the racecars. I was going to go to Starbucks but the line was all the way down Main street and into a side alley. It was nuts! So I went to Joffrey’s and got some iced smores coffee that was really good!
Then we waited in a LONG line for Big Thunder and for Pirates. It was just that time in the afternoon where all the lines are long so you may as well just pick one. Also, on and off all day Bobby had phone calls for work, so sometimes EK and I did a ride by ourselves while Bobby tried to find a quiet corner.
We did Winne the Pooh, Mickey’s Philharmagic, and Carousel of Progress.
Little bit was starting to get worn down. I was able to snag us a dinner reservation at Crystal Palace. We were excited to try the new non buffet menu. We love the atmosphere and location, so were hoping we would like the food! (Spoiler alert, it wasn’t great.)
The park was starting to quiet down, it was that nice calm part of the evening. I snagged this shot and love the angle.
We were seated by a window, and settled in for a nice dinner….that took forever! Our server was SO nice but service was SO SLOW! We were there for two hours and not because we were taking a long time to eat. The fried chicken had some sort of herb in it that did not belong so it tasted strange, and the whole meal was just “blah” except for the yummy mac and cheese. I was then excited to see the dessert plate but only one of them was good. The others had weird chemical flavors or were sickingly sweet or tasted like they came straight out of the refrigerator.
I’m definitely glad we tried it out, but I wouldn’t eat there again with the current menu. Oh well! When we got out of dinner, the park was closing, that’s how long it took. We walked around the Emporium for a minute and then decided to head back to the Poly. We took the express monorail to the TTC and walked back to the Poly. We were worn out but had one more park day the next day, Hollywood Studios! Would I be able to get us on Rise of the Resistance the next morning?
