Friday Favorites: Cadbury eggs

April 1, 2011 | Uncategorized

Ah, Easter. Easter happens to be my favorite candy season. What do I mean? Well, most seasons have candy. You have Halloween candy, which is pretty good. Valentine’s day candy which I could care less about, Christmas candy which can be yummy, and then you have Easter. I don’t know what it is, but something about it makes me lose all self control!

Since I was a little girl, the big Cadbury eggs have been my favorite treat. At age 6 I even lost a tooth biting into one. yeah, we go way back. When I got older I discovered how much I love the mini eggs. not the small version of the big ones, I am talking about the ones that come in the purple bag. You know what I am talking about!

Ah, chocolate bliss.

I started tweeting about my love for these creamy chocolate drops of heaven last night, and got a HUGE response from people saying how much they love them! Looks like I am not alone! These candies definitely deserve a spot in my Friday favorites, especially since they won’t be around much longer! Don’t worry, I will stock up considerably before the season is over.

Daddy, can I PLEASE have a Cadbury egg?

Last night Bobby and I did a sprint workout of almost 3 miles, and it felt so good to stretch out, but my knee is a little sore today. Drat! Looks like I need to get back to stretching and strengthening.

Oh, exciting news. Our neighborhood is hosting a triathlon tomorrow! We are going to go watch, I am so stoked to spectate at my first triathlon. I will be sure to take pictures! So be sure to come back this weekend and see!

Also I took some more house pictures of areas that are actually finished and those will be up soon as well. Lots of exciting stuff! Thanks for the feedback on what you would like to see on the blog. E mail me if you have any input, I want to write about what YOU want to read about!

**Disney just came out with a new summer deal this morning for DELUXE resorts and DELUXE VILLAS. Contact me for a quote if you are looking to go to Disney from sometime in April till mid August! Remember my services are free!

I have two friends with serious mini-Cadbury Egg issues. I prefer my chocolate straight-up! That said, my favorite holiday candy is peppermint bark.

As soon as I see Cadbury mini eggs on the shelves, I must have them! I keep a bag on hand all season. They are my absolute favorite.

Have fun at the tri! I really want to do one this year, but I’m terrified.

I am thinking about doing a mini tri next year…maybe! I am trying to find something close to here so that I can try it out. We will see though! Have fun at it. I wouldn’t mind seeing those pictures either.

Getting in a walk or run when I can. Actually drinking my water. Sticking to a skincare routine instead of overthinking it. Paying attention to my hair and scalp instead of just throwing it up and moving on. Nothing extreme, just consistency in the basics.

I’ve also been using Mochi Health for personalized skincare and hair support, and it’s made it way easier to stay on track without guessing what my skin or hair needs.

If you want to try it, there’s $40 off your first month through the link in my bio. @joinmochi #joinmochi mochihealth

Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro took part in Cork to Fork on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, and every bite felt like a love letter to local flavor. From bourbon-glazed pork belly to a warm cinnamon-bourbon bread pudding that honestly didn’t stand a chance at our table… this was one of those meals you remember.

Mountain views, chef-driven dishes, and whiskey worked right into the menu in the best way. 😋

I started noticing little signs during my normal day. Just occasional bloating, gas, and that slightly “off” feeling. So instead of ignoring it, I listened. I slowed down, moved more consistently, and added Align Probiotic to my routine.

It’s one capsule a day and the #1 doctor-recommended probiotic brand for over 15 years‡. I started taking Align to help relieve my occasional gas, bloating, and stomach discomfort* and now I feel more comfortable moving through my day. @alignprobiotic
