Friday Favorites: Keurig

March 4, 2011 | Uncategorized

TGIF! My days have been so mixed up here lately. I realized in my last Thursday’s post I thought it was Friday…I’m really not crazy, so sorry about that! Let’s rewind to yesterday. I did 25 minutes on the elliptical, some stretching, arm weights, and a couple of planks. I purchased Jillian’s 6 weeks to 6 pack abs DVD yesterday on amazon and hope to incorporate it into my workout to get ready for swimsuit season! I will try and remember to post some before and after pictures when I am done. I love a good before and after photo! This weekend my workouts will consist of moving into my house. YAY! I am heading out of here in a couple of hours to head up to our old house. Movers come tomorrow! EEEKK! it’s REALLY happening this time!

Because I will be up to my eyeballs in boxes, I have arranged another guest post for everyone for tomorrow! So be sure to stop by and show some love. I promise to take lots of pictures of the house for you though! The guy is supposed to come set up our new awesome fiber optics on Saturday afternoon so hopefully I will be up and running Sunday.

Ok, onto today’s favorite! I have yet again decided to do a non running or fitness Friday favorite because well, I just want to! So, my new favorite thing is my parent’s Keurig. I. am. obsessed. Before I moved in with my parents, I didn’t drink hot coffee. I drank the occasional Frappuccino or iced coffee, but never hot coffee. One day I slept horribly and my mom suggested I try one of her flavored K-cups. That mixed with some hazelnut creamer and oh my goodness I was in heaven! I started out only drinking it every few days…then every other day…now it’s every morning! Granted, I still don’t like the flavor of coffee all that much so I use truvia and flavored creamer, but still. It makes me happy.  My favorites are hazelnut, the Kona blend, and vanilla biscotti. I love that you can also do hot chocolate and tea. I plan to do iced tea in the summer. How fun! Now I am sad that I am moving and will not have access to said Keurig anymore. wwaaahhh!

Sorry for the lack of photos. I am pretty sure you know what a Keurig looks like and if not click on the link to their website above. Instead, I will leave you with pictures of the cutest puppy I know, Bella! If you are wondering why I don’t have more pictures of Sassy it’s because they don’t come out well since her fur is black! Also she is a loner and never hangs out around me when I have my camera.

Mom, I am trying to sleep, please stop!

Seriously lady, get the camera outta my face!

and for your viewing pleasure, here is a blast from the past from 1988 ish? My sister, me, and my dad. He’s such a stud!

Oh yes, before I forget, two things.

1.) go HERE and look at how stinkin’ cute Jess looks in the hat I sent her for winning my giveaway!

2.) I was nominated for another blogger award! This one is from Holley at Smart Snacking. I am way too lazy to nominate other bloggers, I have a house to get moved into, but I so appreciate the thought from sweet Holley, so go check out her blog. she just ran the Disney Princess Half!

QOTD: Do you drink coffee? what kind? Do you have a Keurig or want one?

I just tried “Keurig coffee” for the first time at the end of January. I have just a normal coffee pot at home, so it wasn’t until I was at someone’s house on vacation that I got the opportunity to try. Would it be greedy to say I’d like both in my house? 🙂 I don’t like black coffee either. I MUST have sugar in my coffee, and I like flavored creamer if I can get my hands on lactose free stuff!

My parents have a Keurig, and I love it – esp. for making raspberry iced tea! I maybe drink 2-3 cups of coffee a week – I drink tons of sweet tea and diet soda. When I do drink coffee, I drink it black.

    Good luck unpacking!

I think I know what you need as a house-warming gift 😉 I used to not like hot coffee either. I’m not sure when I realized hot was good. I still prefer iced, but cannot make it well at home.
Good luck moving! How exciting 🙂

Girl- make a housewarming registry and put a Keurig on it. You’ll be surprised at what people might buy you, lol. I really wish I’d put one on my wedding registry :).

#ad #BraunPartner Less time shaving. More time liv #ad #BraunPartner Less time shaving. More time living thanks to @BraunBeautyUS Smart IPL. ✨

I didn’t realize how much mental space hair removal was taking up until it just… wasn’t anymore. Between games, trips, and everything in between, having something I can do at home in minutes has been a total game changer. The app-guided treatments keep me consistent without having to think about it, and I’m already noticing smoother skin that actually lasts. And yes — the full-body, 10-minute-at-home situation still feels a little unreal.

If you’ve been on the fence, Prime Day (June 14–27) is definitely the moment to check it out with $120 off. #BraunSmartIPL

We didn’t set out looking for a “perfect” trip… we We didn’t set out looking for a “perfect” trip… we just needed a break from the noise.
What we found in Florida was something better than that. #ad

Our first stop in Auburndale was all about slowing down in the best way. We stayed in a cozy tiny home at Camp Margaritaville (you can also stay in an RV!). We enjoyed coffee on the porch, our daughter loved the pool and waterslide (there is even a splash zone for the littles!), and at night we slowed things down with s’mores instead of screens. It felt like nature + comfort + family time all finally in the same place. They have so many other amenities like mini golf, golf cart rentals, pickleball, a playground, cornhole, and more. Nearby, we explored the Florida Children’s Museum and had incredible food and drinks at Smith’s American Tavern and Black & Brew Coffee.

Then, we headed over to Fort Myers to experience a completely different side of the state. Shelling walks at sunrise, beach volleyball, pool cabanas, and the kind of Gulf sunsets that make everyone go quiet for a minute. Direct beach access at the Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers made it effortless to go from “let’s check it out” to toes in the sand in minutes. There were several restaurants on property, so we never even got in our car. That plus live music, fire pits, the spa, and lawn games made it easy to want to stay put and relax.

What stood out most wasn’t just the scenery… it was how easy it was to actually be together here. No rushing or overplanning. That’s the true Floridays feeling for me. Laid-back, a little unexpected, and exactly what we didn’t know we needed. 🌴☀️

When the Smoky Mountain heat gets unbearable, we h When the Smoky Mountain heat gets unbearable, we head to Pigeon Forge Snow. ❄️ #sponsored

One of our favorite family activities in Pigeon Forge because you can snow tube year-round, rain or shine, without worrying about the weather outside.

My daughter could do the tubing hill over and over, and the indoor snow play area makes it even more fun. Honestly such a good break from the summer heat. Plus, it’s super close to nearby attractions like Dollywood and several mountain coasters.

Here is my favorite in park Disneyland character e Here is my favorite in park Disneyland character experience: The Plaza Inn character breakfast. Here are a few things to know:

✨ Meet Minnie before you even enter the restaurant and get photos with her + a photopass photographer.
✨ Food is all you can eat. Minnie waffles, bacon, eggs, pastries, fruit, and more!
✨ Multiple characters visit your table throughout the meal.
✨ Reservations are a must and can book up quickly!

This was such a fun way to start a park day and meet several characters without spending part of the day waiting in character lines.

Getting in a walk or run when I can. Actually drinking my water. Sticking to a skincare routine instead of overthinking it. Paying attention to my hair and scalp instead of just throwing it up and moving on. Nothing extreme, just consistency in the basics.

I’ve also been using Mochi Health for personalized skincare and hair support, and it’s made it way easier to stay on track without guessing what my skin or hair needs.

We stopped in the Smoky Mountains for one of the m We stopped in the Smoky Mountains for one of the most unexpected food experiences… where Tennessee whiskey doesn’t just stay in the glass, it shows up on the plate. #Corktoforkpartner

Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro took part in Cork to Fork on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, and every bite felt like a love letter to local flavor. From bourbon-glazed pork belly to a warm cinnamon-bourbon bread pudding that honestly didn’t stand a chance at our table… this was one of those meals you remember.

Mountain views, chef-driven dishes, and whiskey worked right into the menu in the best way. 😋

If this is what “one stop” on Cork to Fork looks like… I’m curious what the rest tastes like! Head to the website ( 🔗 in bio) to learn more about the trail and download your free digital passport! @tnwhiskeytrail
