Frosting

April 16, 2011 | Uncategorized

Hiya! Saturday night already? BBOOO! I hope you had a good day though! After the crazy tornadic weather (is tornadic a word?) We had a BEAUTIFUL day today! Breezy, sunny, high of 73. Awesome. Bobby and I started the day with a nice easy, but hilly, 3 mile run in 30 minutes. It was just so nice out, very odd for April on the coast. It’s usually hotter than heck around here by now!

Post run Sweatiness.

After getting cleaned up and looking like a girl again, I made lunch, we had new friends from church coming over!

We ate lunch outside, because, well, it was too petty to stay inside! We played the Wii and hung out. They have the cutest little boy, I think he’s 1.5 years old. So stinkin cute. The pups aren’t used to little people so it was funny to watch them interact (or bark at) him.

After they left, we went to Lowes. We had a few things to pick up for the house and I had a $10 coupon to use. After Lowe’s, we went to Dinner somewhere new (to us) called Aristos. It’s a Greek place modeled after an old favorite of ours in Jackson where we just moved from.

It was really yummy and very reasonably priced. Just enough food, too. I was full after but not that ohmygoshIamgoingtothrowup full. Even though I WAS full, I was determined to eat a cupcake. You see, right next to the restaurant is a Gourmet Cupcake place called Frosting….oh. my. gosh.

Not only is it pink and green and fun with couches and funky chairs, but they have AMAZING cupcakes! They have 6 flavors that are there daily and then every day there are also 6 other different flavors. I am for sure going back on a Tuesday when they have WEDDING CAKE! Bobby got one called “prozac” that was basically death by chocolate.

It was good…but not as good as my COOKIES N CRÈME!

HUGE and AMAZING. Seriously one of the best desserts I have put in my mouth, and trust me, I have had a LOT of desserts! After inhaling said cupcakes, we came home and took the girls on a walk. I didn’t feel quite as bas about myself for eating all my dinner plus a whole huge cupcake after my walk!

Now I am quite full and falling into a food coma. Ok, I am off to enjoy the rest of my weekend, and you should do the same! Tomorrow is church and working in the yard, and relaxing. I love Sundays!

QOTD: What is your favorite cupcake flavor?

Oh yum! I am obsessed with cupcakes. Those look good! My favorite at the best place is NJ is the cookie dough or peanut butter cup. My favorite at the places here is either lemon or peanut butter banana. mmmmm. And now I want a cupcake at 8:30 am.

Oh wow, girl, we would so be friends in person! This post sounds like one I could’ve written! Doing something active with the husband, hanging out with friends from church, eating outside ’cause it’s too gorgeous to go inside, going to Lowes (waaay too much time here, haha!) and finally, trying new places to eat (especially with coupons)! Haha! Seriously, this is like a day in the life of Christopher and Rach. Love it! 🙂 Looks like you had fun!

The beaches of Alabama are the kind of place where the days feel slow, the kids are happy, and you don’t feel like you need a vacation after your vacation.

Alabama beaches in the spring just make sense.

2016 was a VERY big year for us. Moving states. Running multiple businesses. Being accused of getting a divorce. 🤣🫣 People are wild, yall.

Looking back they were some hard, wild times and I now know more hard times were ahead for us, but I wouldn’t change any of it. I know it’s part of our story, God had a plan, and there is a reason for it all. Just gotta keep keeping on! ❤️
