Healthy Living Summit Cocktail Party

August 20, 2011 | Uncategorized

Good afternoon! We are on lunch break so I thought I would try to get a post up real quick. Hope you are all having an amazing day! I am having a great time but am so tired. Ready to be in my own bed!

Ok so last night we had a super great time at the cocktail party. The planning committee did a great job of picking a place, and everyone had a blast! The food was good, the photo booth was insanely fun, and the company was the best ever.

I loved making new friends and getting to chat with some of my favorite bloggers.

Diana, Stephanie, and Andrea

Kelly, Erin, and me

me and Allison

Look how cute these boards are!

Can you spot me?

The party was in the cool and funky Reading Terminal Market.

Bloggers taking pictures of the sign. Everyone kept trying to figure out what we were doing.

Roomies!

We wrapped up at 10:00, my feet were killing me, I was so happy to get to sit down finally. Luckily, I was not the only one sharing this sentiment. I can’t wait to show you guys the insanely funny photo booth pictures we took, what a great idea and a great souvenir.

It was SO NICE to finally put a name with a face to some blogs I read/people on twitter. I can’t wait to go home and add to my Google reader! Better get back downstairs, don’t want to miss anything! Don’t forget to follow #HLS on Twitter!

QOTD: What is your favorite party food?

LOVED the cocktail party, mostly because of running around and getting to meet everyone in such a relaxed atmosphere. The tasty foods/drinks certainly didn’t hurt, either.

And even though I did a lousy job of doing this IRL: I loved your dress, you looked fantastic!

hi sweet girl, so nice to meet you, too! Thanks for the compliment!
I loved your panel at HLS, and I LOVED how you said you hate running. I feel like too many readers and bloggers feel like they have to run to be healthy, so not the case!

Getting in a walk or run when I can. Actually drinking my water. Sticking to a skincare routine instead of overthinking it. Paying attention to my hair and scalp instead of just throwing it up and moving on. Nothing extreme, just consistency in the basics.

I’ve also been using Mochi Health for personalized skincare and hair support, and it’s made it way easier to stay on track without guessing what my skin or hair needs.

If you want to try it, there’s $40 off your first month through the link in my bio. @joinmochi #joinmochi mochihealth

Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro took part in Cork to Fork on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, and every bite felt like a love letter to local flavor. From bourbon-glazed pork belly to a warm cinnamon-bourbon bread pudding that honestly didn’t stand a chance at our table… this was one of those meals you remember.

Mountain views, chef-driven dishes, and whiskey worked right into the menu in the best way. šŸ˜‹

I started noticing little signs during my normal day. Just occasional bloating, gas, and that slightly ā€œoffā€ feeling. So instead of ignoring it, I listened. I slowed down, moved more consistently, and added Align Probiotic to my routine.

It’s one capsule a day and the #1 doctor-recommended probiotic brand for over 15 years—. I started taking Align to help relieve my occasional gas, bloating, and stomach discomfort* and now I feel more comfortable moving through my day. @alignprobiotic
