A few months ago, I was contacted by someone from Woman’s World Magazine. They were writing an article on the best sports bras, and they wanted my opinion on one bra for each cup size. I of course agreed and was thrilled at the opportunity. I anxiously awaited mid April, when the piece was supposed to come out. I finally was able to get my hands on a copy today!
I flipped to the page and was excited to see my name (and blog!) on the page. Sadly, they only took my recommendation on one cup size (in case you were wondering I also recommended the Running Skirts Strappy top for A cup, which are fabulous…and the Champion C9 bra from target for B cup).
I also had to chuckle because I told the sweet lady in my e mail that I ran everything from 5k’s to marathons, and they mention the 5k (which I don’t run many of compared to half marathons). Oh well! I am just thrilled and humbled to be included.
Three years ago I never would have thought anything like this was possible, it’s funny how much things can change in such a short period of time. I love it! A huge thank you to everyone who has been so supportive of me (that means YOU, readers!) Love you all.
QOTD: What is something you are doing today you never would have thought you would be doing a couple of years ago?

How exciting, congrats! 😀
Yay! Very happy for you!
When is your next 5k? 😉
har har har.
This is awesome. Love it and congrats!!
Congrats, that is so cool! Funny how they took editorial license like that – still a great accomplishment!
haha i know right?
I never thought I would be running as much as I do! I never ran in high school and college. And now, I love it. I especially love the atmosphere at races. 🙂
Congrats, Heather!! SO SO SO SO cool =) =) Just remember us little people when you become super famous!!!
I honestly never thought I’d be working in the job I’m in (technical writer), and I didn’t think I’d be running long distance races or coaching track, either. The coaching track thing NEVER struck me until last year when I got asked to!
So neat that you got your name and blog in that magazine, but yeah it’s ironic that they mentioned 5Ks but not half marathons. The only thing I can think of is maybe the target audience for the magazine is older so the people would more likely run 5Ks? Either way, seems like halfs are the new 5Ks because a lot more people are doing them now, even run/walking or walking them.
thats awesome about coaching. I LOVE coaching.
yeahhh congrats!!! they contacted me last year, but I guess they decided not to use all the quotes they collected. so fun to know your opinion matters!!
congrats congrats congrats!!!!!
sadly, I’m not doing anything I didn’t think I’d be doing a few years ago…which means I’m not progressing the way I’d like to be 🙁
off to pin…
That’s so cool!
So Very Very Cool!! One thing I am doing today that I never thought I would be…going for a run tonight-and looking forward to it. Being a swimmer growing up, I always HATED when we would run for cross training so I am surprised by my new found love of running.
I never thought I’d be married until AT LEAST 30… and yet I will be married three years by the time I turn 30 in August (my anniversary is exactly one week before my birthday). That’s probably the best unexpected development of my life to date. I’m also about to start a new job in an area that I never dreamed I’d be specializing in, but that’s how it goes.
Congrats on the great magazine spread!
thats great! congrats
Awesome!!! Great job! 🙂
very cool!! super exciting!
How exciting! Congrats!! 🙂
That’s awesome – congrats!!
I never thought I’d ever run a 5k and I’m about to start training for my 4th marathon. 🙂
Congrats. That is awesome.
My answer is fairly simple… I never thought I would be commenting on a post about a woman’s sports bra in Woman’s World Magazine. LOL. I can honestly say, this is your fault.
haha! and how exactly is this MY fault?
That’s amazing! Congrats to you, Heather!
Wow congrats!!
Oh my gosh, that’s so cool!!! Even if they did get the quote a little wrong. 🙂
Congrats! That’s very cool. I am excited b/c I am going to be running w/ a legend soon (can’t reveal who yet). It’s amazing where running can take us!
awesome!
Woohoo! How exciting, girl! I bet they said “5k” instead of “half marathon” simply to save space. Your readers know what a runner you are! 🙂
This is so awesome!! I’d be over the moon.
That’s so great!! Congratulations! I got a chance to do a leg makeover project with Fitness Magazine which was super fun.
Yay you!!
How exciting!! Very cool. Ha – it is funny to see what editorial licensing they take.
How awesome!!! You deserved such an opportunity. 🙂
And I have to laugh that it quotes you on “long runs” just after saying you do 5Ks. hehehe
I love how it’s everything form yoga to 5ks as if that’s so different and also a scale of 1-10. Oh well, you got the message out there and it’s so exciting to see your name in print, right? I was bummed when I was quoted for something, but they dropped my blog addy.
Way to go, lady! That’s SO exciting that you’re being featured in a magazine!
