My Best 7 EPCOT Tips

February 6, 2023 | Disney

It’s no secret my family loves Walt Disney World, and I often forget that all the things I know about the parks are not common knowledge for everyone. I thought it may be helpful for some to take a step back and give some basic park tips to help you plan your next Disney vacation. Here are some of my favorite EPCOT tips!

Top 7 EPCOT Tips

1.) Enter through the International Gateway: There is a “secret” less crowded entrance to EPCOT called the International Gateway. it’s near the Beach Club villas, and where the Skyliner lets people off. Not staying on the Skyliner? My best tip is to schedule a breakfast reservation at a restaurant along the Boardwalk so you can park or bus there, eat, and then walk through the International gateway entrance. Then, when it’s time to leave you can walk back to your car at whatever resort you had breakfast at, or take the boat to Hollywood Studios and a bus back to your resort. So many transportation options!

2.) Make a dinner reservation during the fireworks in the World Showcase: There are a handful of restaurants that have prime window/patio views of the lagoon, so if you make a dinner reservation for a bit before fireworks start, you may be able to eat and enjoy them at the same time without jockeying for a position at the railings around the water. Then finish your meal while the crowds clear out for an easy exit of the park.

3.) Ask for the front middle row on Soarin: This one totally depends on the cast member and the crowd levels, but we like to ask to sit in the front middle on Soarin, it gives the best view! Sometimes we can go right on, and sometimes they say we would have to wait until the next show, which we are more than happy to do, so we stand off to the side while they load the rest of the rows. Be super nice when you ask, they don’t “have” to let you do it!

4.) Watch a free concert at the American Gardens Theatre: There is always some kind of musical act going on at EPCOT! Be sure to check out the times guide on the My Disney Experience app to see what’s going on that day. Sitting in the shade and listening to music is a great way to cool off and relax for a few minutes on a hot day!

EPCOT tips

5.) Get free Coke at Club cool: Club Cool has free, yes FREE Coke samples from around the world. It’s a fun activity, good way to cool off and drink some fluids, and trick your family members into trying the Beverly. 🙂 You can also purchase Coke products and things like Coke floats in the store here.

EPCOT tips

6.) Chill out at the Mission Space playground: I can’t ride Mission Space because I get motion sickness, but you can still enter the building and let your kids play on the indoor playground! Emma Kate loves a good playground, and I love that it’s indoors. Win/win for all!

7.) Always start your “drink around the world” in Mexico: This one is more of an “IYKYK” joke, but there are many strong opinions on which country to start in when you are drinking around the world. The general consensus is that the “normal” people start in Mexico, and that “weird” people start in Canada and go the opposite direction. It really doesn’t matter, but we are Mexico people ourselves! Either way, getting beverages in the different countries is a fun way to check out each pavillion. Enjoy!

🏖️ I’m so thankful my parents took us on tr 🏖️ I’m so thankful my parents took us on trips growing up. When I was young, we didn’t have a lot of money, but they made every weekend getaway or camping trip special, and I have so many great memories.

We may not have gotten to travel often until I was a teenager, but we still had a blast, and they even took us to a @spectrumresorts property! (Ad)

As an adult, I am so grateful to be able to return the favor. To see them laugh and play with my daughter like they did with me. It’s one of those special full circle moments, those core memories that will stay with me forever. 🥹

Staying at @turquoiseplaceofficial makes things so easy, too. The condos are huge and we easily all fit without being on top of each other. There’s plenty to do with pools, a waterslide, lazy river, the beach, movie nights, kids activities, food, and more. ✨

It truly is the perfect place for a multigenerational vacation. So if you are looking for a great place to go with your parents, grandkids, aunts, uncles, or cousins, this is it. 💖

We take her on these trips and cruises hoping she’ll soak in the adventure, the beauty, and maybe even the food from places different from where we live… but to her, nothing beats a corn dog and mac & cheese. 🧀

And honestly, that’s the best reminder for us, that joy doesn’t have to be fancy, it just has to be yours. 🛳✨

YES I was dancing, eating mac and cheese from the YES I was dancing, eating mac and cheese from the kids menu, and singing “Let it Go” with a butter knife while wearing Mickey ears on our Disney cruise. 🚢

When I was 12, I was worried a lot… worried about failing, scared of what people would think of me, and of not fitting in or being “cool”.
I turned 40 this year and have been spending time trying to figure out exactly who I really am with all expectations stripped away. I don’t love the term “finding yourself”, but here I feel like it fits. ✨

Maybe finding yourself means going back to being 12.… and being myself without being scared. Heather at 12 would never believe this version of me… but I think she’d be proud. 💛✨

Ever wondered what extra magic you can add for a b Ever wondered what extra magic you can add for a birthday onboard a @disneycruiseline ship? 🚢

Emma Kate turned 11 last month during our sailing and we did so many birthday things! She got a ton of “happy birthday’s” from crew and guests to make it extra special. ✨

👉🏻For a link to the birthday ears she wore (they have lots of colors and variations!) comment “EARS” and I will send it to you!

This is 11. ✨🎉 Not sure how this happened, b This is 11. ✨🎉

Not sure how this happened, but time snuck up on me and now I have an 11 year old. 🥹
We couldn’t think of a more fun place to celebrate that on Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island in the Bahamas.

She started the day with presents, then hours and hours in the sun on the island, followed by cake and singing at dinner, the tween club, and fireworks at sea! (They were for pirate night but we said they were birthday fireworks!)

Happy birthday to the most fierce, kind, competitive, loyal, funny, and beautiful little girl I know. 🩷 Never change who you are and stop growing up so fast! So. Blessed to have the best title there is, Emma Kate’s mom. 💖
