As promised here are my pictures from my “real” camera.
This is before we left the house, in my ROTE mouse”skirt”ears shirt!
It was cloudy so I didn’t wear my hat for once.
a picture of the starting/finish line. You can almost SEE the humidity!
race shirt. I liked how it wasn’t white. White is so boring.
putting our bibs on, hanging out at the car before the start
Bobby after the race. eewww haha!
I wanted to add something very interesting…I PLACED THIRD IN THE 20-29 AGE GROUP! haha! I had no idea! I would have stayed for the awards if I had known! I am supposed to get a plaque or something, we will see what happens. Too funny! It will probably never happen again! Just thought I would share :o)
Hope everyone had a good day. I did 30 minutes of a cardio video and am trying to decide if I want to go run…my ankle says no. hhmmm
QOTD: Have you ever placed in a race?

I have placed in a race several times………..in elementary school lol. I would win first and second place in all the sprints and distance runs. Does this count?
of course it counts! Up until this weekend I would have said the same thing lol!
nope. never. I have never placed in a race. I am slow. LOL.
you are not slow mama! You just have a lot of competition out there!
nah. I’m slow! LOL
oh hush you!
Just curious- what do gear do you wear during the race? Ipod holder? watch?
what kind of gear or where do I get it?
I wear a garmin 301, its a little old school but cheaper than the newer ones and still has tons of gadgets
my iphone holder is actually from TJ maxx. If you hit it right you can get great accessories from there!
anything else? let me know!
i totally placed in my race last weekend too! i don’t think mine really counts though because there must not have been many people in my age group if i got second running 32:45 lol
i hope you get your plaque!! i want to see a picture of it when you doooo
awesome! it doesn’t matter your time, placing is placing! I will post a pic if/when i get it!
Congrats on the race! That placing is awesome. I would be thrilled about that too. 🙂
You look really cute in the running skirt. And I love the shirt. What an awesome race name too.
thanks! yeah it their first time having it and besides the not having enough water it was really well done! They had a Christian band playing at the end, it was really nice!
Wow! Congrats on placing. I’ve never placed in a race. That’s so exciting. I love the running skirt! Too cute!!
thanks! I love my new skirt, so springy!
I placed once. In a local 10k. I was first in my age division…out of two! Hehehe. I felt very silly getting my award, especially since I had not run a very strong race at all.
oh no too funny! hey, you still placed!
Congrats on the 3rd place finish! BTW I noticed you had headphones – do you get any flak for wearing them during a race? My first 5k is in a month and I cannot imagine running without my tunes!
No, but I also have never worn them in a race that specifically asked you not to. I only wear them for little local 5k’s. Both of my halfs I didn’t wear them (I was runnign with other people so we talked the whole time!)
The skirt is super cute!!
why thank you!
love these pics! lately i have been placing cuz i am an old lady-i just entered the 40 year old group ;(
hey that’s great though, placing is placing!
You are so cute! I love all your race outfits. And big congrats on placing! My apologies if I missed it, but what was your time? 🙂
thanks! that’s why it was so funny, I ran a 31 on a rolled ankle and still placed third lol! but hey, placing is placing!
Hey, that’s still great! Good grief, I remember a time when I ran close to 31 with NO injuries, lol. Congrats again on placing – you deserve the confidence/moviation boost. You’re always an inspiration!
aw thanks you are sweet! I try to be as real as possible!
3rd in your age group even with a bum ankle? You ROCK!
haha thank you!
Cute pictures! I love your skirt. 🙂
Way to go on your 3rd place! I’ve never been able to place in a race. That has got to be so cool.
thanks! I know exciting right? I am still trying to get my award from the race though lol!
Congratulations on your race!!! That is awesome! I bet Bobby was really proud of you too!!! You guys are so cute! I hope my hubby picks up running with me this summer!
ohhh are you trying to turn him into a runner?
Yes!!!!! So far I got him bit by the “soccer bug” – and he is awesome!!! Now I just gotta move to running. The thing is, my hubby is the kind of guy who if there is no ball, then there is no reason to run! 😛 Has Bobby always been a runner? Any suggestions for getting my guy into it? 😛
no he gets so bored running. BUT, he loves to compete so he loves races/trianing for them, and we like to spend time together running and we chat while we run, etc. Has he ever done a race? if not, yall need to enter a local 5k or something and he should get bitten by the racing bug if he likes to compete!
