A while back you may remember me doing a review for the Hood to Coast Movie. I was so intrigued with the whole relay idea, and when I found out there was one that went 126 miles from Baton Rouge LA to New Orleans, I knew I had to run. I loosely formed a team, but we never could get it together and didnāt actually sign up. I always thought we would last minute, and decided we were still running it. Even when I got injured I was determined to run.
So when Katie and I started discussing out options, we threw together a team and formed Girls on the Geaux. None of us has ever done a relay before, so we have NO idea what we are doing, but we are determined to be the most FUN van of the race.
Rouge Orleans starts in Baton Rouge and runs on the levee system all the way to Audubon Park in New Orleans for the post race party. We each will run 5 legs, totaling 20-23 miles each over about 24 hours. There are 6 of us, and yes we have lost our minds!

That sounds like so much fun! I’ve done a half marathon and full marathon relay but nothing that long. I would love to do a Ragnar type race sometime though!
