runDisney: Special Guest for Marathon Weekend

July 17, 2012 | Disney, fitness, running, Uncategorized

This year’s Walt Disney World marathon weekend promises to be the best yet. With it being the 20th anniversary of the race, there are all kinds of changes and fun being added for 2013. The fun just keeps on rolling in, with the newest exciting announcement coming out yesterday. I am stoked about this one, because I am a hue fan of the Biggest Loser. Any guesses? Ok ok, I can’t hold it in any longer. Alison Sweeny, host of the Biggest loser, will be not only appearing at marathon weekend, but she will be running the half!

Alison is an avid runner who has competed in many previous marathons and half marathons, but this will be her first runDisney event. she is excited to bring her kids along and well, why don’t I just let Alison speak for herself:

Don’t forget about some of the other fun changes for this year’s marathon weekend:

· Enhanced entertainment at Mile 20 to celebrate the 20th anniversary

· A specially-designed 20th anniversary Mickey Mouse medal

·New course routes through the Walt Disney World Speedway and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

·A new post-race party at Downtown Disney

Spots for the weekend’s races are filling up fast, so be sure to get yours before they are all gone! You can register online, it’s quick and easy, so don’t miss out on the fun! I will be there running the goofy challenge, and cannot wait!

QOTD: What celebrity would you love to see at a marathon?

Yay, I love Allison Sweeney. Ever since Days. I do not know which celebrity I would want to see, but I did run side by side to Kate Gosilin from Kate plus 8 in San Diego. That was interesting for a while. Lol thanks for posting so much great info about the race. Larisa

I’m doing Goofy this year too! I can’t wait, but I’m definitely nervous about the training for a back to back half and full! Will you be posting about your training for this type of event at all?

I’ll also be out in Disneyland for the half in September, my first time out there, very excited!

I love the course changes and the celebrities that are participating in the weekend. I can’t wait to see what the medal will look like and that the Mile 20 Extravaganza will be!

If I wasn’t heading to Costa Rica that next week I’d be all about this! I attempted the WDW Full last year, but ran out of time limits at mile 22 (no fun at all) I’m itching to make a comeback, maybe goofy 2014?

I love Alison on Biggest Loser. She seems to have genuine empathy for the contestants.

As far as celebs go, I wouldn’t mind having Channing Tatum waiting for me at a finish line with open arms.

Since turning forty, I’ve been all about simple changes that help me feel strong, healthy, and confident — inside and out.

Adding Organixx Collagen to my coffee each morning has been one of the easiest ways to support my skin, hair, and joints while juggling busy mom life. It blends right in and makes me feel like I’m doing something good for myself every single day.

Because for me, it’s not just about looking good — it’s about feeling my best, staying active, and showing up for the people and moments that matter most.
Radiance starts from within, and @organixxco helps make it part of my everyday routine.

I turned 40 today. 🎉 Hitting a milestone like t I turned 40 today. 🎉 Hitting a milestone like this has me reflecting—not just on what I’ve accomplished, but on who I’m becoming.

I’ve always been driven to achieve, to push, to prove. But lately, I’ve been learning to celebrate presence over performance, connection over perfection.

Today wasn’t about checking a box or hitting a goal—it was about pausing, feeling grateful, and eating a ridiculous amount of cake with people I love. And honestly? That feels like growth.

Here’s to 40: more aligned, more grounded, and still a little extra. 😉

Turning 40 tomorrow. 🎂 Big milestones always Turning 40 tomorrow. 🎂

Big milestones always make me pause and ask:
What am I proud of?
What needs to shift?
Am I becoming the woman I want to be?

💡 As an Enneagram 3, I’ve always been wired to achieve — and for a long time, that meant shaping myself into whatever version I thought people would like best.

There are tables where it’s clear I’m not welcome — and that used to wreck me.
But at 40? I don’t do cliques. I don’t do shrinking or contorting to be accepted. 👀

I’ll always be kind. I’ll always be respectful. But I’m done dragging a chair to tables that were never built for me.

I’m moving over. Making space.
Creating my own table.
