RWS Features #44

December 14, 2012 | blogging, Guest Post, running

Good morning friends. My heart is heavy this morning and I feel almost….bad posting a blog post about things that just don’t seem to matter much after the school shooting events that happened yesterday. I have an 18 mile run on ta for this morning, and am not really feeling like running.

However, I want to introduce you today to Ali from . Be sure to stop by her blog and say hello to her. She ran the Disneyland half and is doing Goofy at WDW in January!

1.) How/Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging for a few reasons. I’ve always been a person that learns more from “doing”, so when I began my social media MBA I wanted to have actual experience for my classes than just speaking theory. I also began my blog to hold me accountable. I had signed up for my first half marathon ever (Disneyland Half), and wanted something to keep me on track through my training

2) Sum up your blog in a couple of sentences:

My blog is a blog about running and traveling. I participate in races all around the US, and focus on both the travel and race.

3) What do you wish to accomplish/achieve by blogging

I’d like to motivate someone to try something new with my blog.

4) What is your biggest healthy living accomplishment?

My largest accomplishment to date has been losing 30lbs through diet and exercise, and keeping it off! It was hard at first, but now I find myself choosing healthier alternatives instantly.

5) What is your blog URL and twitter handle?

My blog is msprun.com and my twitter is @am588

Thanks so much Ali! Hope to see you in January!

Allow me to de-influence you. 💁🏻‍♀️ Sometimes we Allow me to de-influence you. 💁🏻‍♀️

Sometimes we (myself included) all need a little reminder that this app shows short snippets of the entirety of someone’s day and life. No one wants to post the boring, the ugly, the sad, but it’s there.

Be careful not to compare your life with the people you see online. A lot of the things you see are inaccurate or a stretch of the truth, or just the best of the best. That’s not reality and I want to make sure no one thinks that I am ever trying to portray some perfect life that doesn’t exist. I’m a hot mess 99% of the time, and that’s ok! 😜

I sometimes am still waiting on an adult to walk into the room to tell me what to do….and then I remember I AM the adult. 🤣

When we get down to it, we are all very similar. I love you guys.

From laying out my workout clothes to packing my daughter’s basketball bag… and yes, remembering my vitamins — staying proactive just makes life run smoother.

But I realized it shouldn’t just stop with me. My dogs are part of the family too. 💛 So when I’m grabbing our wellness essentials at select Walmart stores, I make sure to pick up our NaturVet pet supplements right from the Pet Health aisle.

At home, it’s simple: I get my vitamins and supplements, and they get theirs. Staying a step ahead means taking care of all of us — two-legged and four-legged. 🐶✨
