So Much Christmas at Gaylord Opryland

November 30, 2021 | Travel

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Gaylord Opryland So Much Christmas. However, all opinions are my own.

It’s no secret we love the Gaylord hotel brand, so we were super excited to visit at Christmas for the very first time! To sum it up, So. Much. Christmas. It truly did not disappoint, and there is something for everyone. If you are needing to get in the holiday spirit, book a room now or some tickets to one of the many events on the grounds! Here are 5 things we loved the most:

1.) Elf Mission save Christmas

I don’t want to post too many photos and give the fun away for those still planning to go, but I will say, if you are a fan of the movie Elf and can quote it backwards and forwards like we can, you will LOVE this experience! From Santa’s workshop to the mail room, to the candy cane forest, the details were incredible and we loved every second!

2.) Scavenger hunt

Emma Kate loves a good scavenger hunt, especially when there is a prize involved. You can purchase a booklet at the hotel and when you finish the hunt, you bring it back for a prize. It was tough and took us all over the hotel, which was a really great way to see everything! Emma Kate had so much fun looking for clues and collecting her prize.

3.) Gingerbread house decorating

This was probably one of my favorite things we did because it was super relaxing and low key. You can purchase e gingerbread house or gingerbread man, and then sit at the tables by the water and decorate. The best thing about this house is that it was prebuilt! So we just got to do the decorating. We just sat there for a solid hour relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery while Emma Kate decorated. It was a great afternoon activity to take a little break, and a great way to get in the holiday spirit.

4.) Hotel decorations

The entire hotel is decked out in so many trees and lights, we didn’t even have time to see them all! We did however LOVE siting on our atrium balcony looking at the lights and just enjoying the moment. that was probably another one of my favorite parts, just truly knowing how blessed we were to be there and enjoy the beautiful hotel for the holidays.

5.) Ice skating + snow tubing

If you ask Emma Kate, she will tell you this was by far her favorite! I loved that they had the little “snow buddies” to help kids who cannot skate very well, although I did end up just pushing her quite a bit! (which helped steady me as well!) We felt like we were in a Hallmark movie with the gorgeous weather and beautiful surroundings. Country Christmas music was playing, and we just had a blast hanging out as a family outside at Pine Top (where all the outdoor activities and the Elf activity is!)

There are so many more reasons to visit So Much Christmas at Gaylord Opryland, and we could have stayed there and been content for a whole week. I hope you have the opportunity to visit this year. Let me know if you have any questions!
