Sorry Officer….What Did You Say?

August 3, 2013 | Uncategorized

Some random happenings in my world lately….

A couple weeks ago when Bobby and I were coming home from my parents house, we were pulled over by the cops as we were getting onto a highway. We were so confused…We weren’t speeding…we had our seatbelts on….etc. Turns out, our new license plate was linked to the car of a MISSING PERSON! Apparently they recycled the tag back into the system even though the person hasn’t been found…how stupid. They cleared the tag in the system so it wouldn’t happen again, but it was so strange! Not sure if you can see the cop car behind us in the picture below.

For my birthday, Bobby got me something I have wanted for seven years. A Kitchen Aid stand mixer! I decided to be fun and go with the raspberry ice color and I absolutely love it.

I also bought this awesome chair form Target with some birthday money. Bella immediately jumped in it and it’s her new favorite. She gives it two paws up.

QOTD: Any noteworthy news to share? Do you have a kitchen aid mixer?

I love the color of your Kitchen Aid Mixer. I’ve never seen that color before. I’ve seen the light pink, but never the raspberry. It’s beautiful!

I do have a Kitchen Aid, a plain white one. It was a gift and I very rarely use it. It doesn’t fit in any of the cupboards, so it sits on top of our fridge like a piece of artwork,,,haha, because it rarely gets used. I love to bake though and usually just use my little hand mixer because it is more convenient and easier to clean.

I hadn’t seen the color either so I knew I had to have that one!

My parents bought me a Kitchenaid mixer for a wedding gift – 20 years ago! – because my mom said she’d had to wait so long for one, and she didn’t want me to have to wait! Mine is plain white, though…yours is prettier! 🙂

    • Heather says

      August 4, 2013 at 1:10 pm

    How bizzare about the tags!!

I love my Kitchenaid! I got one when I started decorating cakes about 10 years ago. I don’t do as many cakes now, but still use my Kitchenaid a lot! I started with a white one and a few years ago there was a super awesome sale (i.e. pricing error) on a brushed nickel one so I grabbed it quick. I use the brushed nickel one multiple times during the week! Have fun with your mixer- love the color!

This one is great for busy folks who want to make a “special” drink without too much fuss. 🎄

It’s literally just water frozen in the bottom of a glass with some rosemary taped in it. I waited a few hours the poured in some Prosecco and added in edible glitter (you can use multiple colors!) pretty and delicious, and keeps your drink cold! Cheers! 🥂 ❄️
