Spring 2022 Florida Trip Preview

March 25, 2022 | Disney, Travel

Hey yall! It’s been a minute. My new job is keeping me pretty busy, so I apologize for not posting here more often. I am pretty much done training and am now feeling in the swing of things so hopefully I can go back to more regular posting. We leave for Florida Wednesday afternoon and I wanted to share what we will be up to so that you can follow along. I will be sharing all the things on Instagram, especially in my stories, so if you don’t want to miss it make sure you turn on notifications for my profile. As always so thankful for my house/dog sitters and coworkers all making this possible!

Wednesday, March 30th

We are leaving in the late afternoon and starting our drive to Florida. Since I race the next night (Thursday) and have to get to the expo that day as well, we thought it would be best to drive some into the night and break up the trip.

Thursday, March 31st

Get up early and drive the rest of the way to Orlando. Probably go straight to the expo, then check in to the Contemporary courtesy of runDisney, who is also sponsoring me for the races. I can’t wait to see the new Incredibles themed rooms! Then the plan is to chill at the hotel before I have to board a bus for my 10:00 pm race, the Expedition Everest 5k!

Crash after said race, and get up at a decent time Friday. As much as I know I am going to want to sleep I need to get up and get moving so that I will be sleepy enough to go to bed at 6:00ish that night.

Friday, April 1

Magic Kingdom! We will walk over and spend a half day at the park. Maybe hit up the pool in the afternoon depending on the weather. Go to bed early

Saturday, April 2

Race for the Taste 10k! Board a bus before the sun comes up, and run run run! Then it’s back to the hotel for a shower, possibly a nap depending on the time, before heading out to the parks again. I need to go to bed early this night also, so maybe I won’t nap/

Sunday, April 3

Tower of Terror 10 miler! Get up early again and run run run! Back to the hotel to shower and load up the car since it’s checkout day. After the parks will head to the Wilderness Lodge for just one night.

Monday-Saturday

My parents arrive! We are staying with them at Old Key West in a 2 bedroom villa. We will be doing the parks and pool and Disney Springs. I can’t wait to do Disney with them again!

Saturday, April 9th

My parents go home, sad times. But, Bobby, EK and I will be heading to Gaylord Palms for the weekend for their Spring It On events! We have never done spring at a Gaylord hotel so we are PUMPED!

We are going to be busy and tired, but a good tired. I can’t wait to run, relax, and spend quality time with my family. These are the memories I treasure and can’t wait to make more! A huge thanks to runDisney and Gaylord Palms for having us!

Some days, the scoreboard doesn’t look the way we Some days, the scoreboard doesn’t look the way we want it to, but that doesn’t change how proud we are. ❤️

Yesterday we didn’t win the championship, but that didn’t stop us from remembering what really matters, that our daughter is an amazing human who deserves to be celebrated even on the tough days. 🍧

Parents, it’s SO easy to get wrapped up in the game. Let’s always remember that our kids’ worth isn’t measured by a trophy or a score. Celebrate them. Encourage them. Love them unconditionally. ✨

They are enough. Always. 💛
