Spring It On At Gaylord Palms

April 14, 2022 | Travel

Disclosure: This post is sponsored Spring it On at Gaylord Palms, however, all opinions are my own.

Gaylord Palms has a lot of fun events throughout the year. We have been fortunate to go in the summer and fall, but this was our first time going in the Spring, and it was just as amazing as always! Emma Kate had a blast (ok, I did too!) and we already can’t wait to go back.

I wanted to give a quick run down of the special events and activities you can take part in for a limited time. You don’t want to miss it, the spring events end May 7th 2022! There are special Spring It On room packages, or you can add events as you go, like…

Journey Into Spring Escape Room

Amidst the bright hues of a dreamlike garden setting, participants work together to solve riddles, find hidden keys, and unlock the mysteries and secrets of the season.

Paint Me a Fairytale Interactive Show

Be drawn into the magic as Mother Goose herself paints to life some of your storybook favorites in this live stage show. Emma Kate loved singing along with this one and shouting out answers. Perfect for preschool and early elementary ages! We had fun talking about other fairytales after the show was over!

Springtime Cookie Decorating

Sweet springtime treats are ready to adorn and achieve confection perfection! The Easter Bunny will visit as you decorate delicious cookies and take them home to enjoy in this creative, interactive hands-on activity.

Blossomin’ Bunnies Scavenger Hunt

Eight rascally rabbits have bounced into the blossoms throughout the 4.5-acre garden atrium, and it’s up to super springtime sleuths to use clues to find where these hares have hidden! Emma Kate loved this one too. So much fun and a great way to explore the atriums. I also loved that they used stickers to put in the answers instead of having to carry around a pencil (which my child loses!)

Animal Encounters

Enjoy up-close encounters with Florida’s amazing animals to learn how they adapt to spring weather and interact with others indigenous animals in the wild. Presented by our wildlife partners from Wild Florida.

ART Bar

Whimsy and wonder are inspirations behind this home of colorful cocktails and multicolored mocktails. Enjoy a new menu of craft beverages, specially created by Gaylord Palms mixologists for this year’s springtime celebration.

Springtime Light Display

A kaleidoscope of color paints the atrium ceiling when the sun goes down, as newly upgraded and animated light curtains fill the sky with brightly blooming flowers, richly hued rabbits, springtime shooting stars, and other symbols of the season. This was so fun to see from our balcony! It was nice that it went on all evening so you didn’t have to worry about being back at a certain time or you “miss it!”

Eggspression Garden

Larger-than-life Easter eggs and bouquets of blossoms highlight this themed walkthrough experience. Along the way, guests will find plenty of springtime photo spots for that perfect picture to share with friends and family. I love a good photo opp and this one was perfect. So colorful and fun!

Easter Bunny Meet & Greet

While you might not spot him as he’s delivering his eggs, the lovable Easter Bunny takes a break from preparing his famous egg hunt to take photos with guests on Easter Sunday. (certain hours.)

Adventure Kids: Bedtime Bunny Tales

Adventure Kid Sophie reads Beatrix Potter’s classic “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” for a very special bedtime story on your in-room TV. Enjoy the classic tale while Sophie adds some real-world knowledge about rabbits, plants, nature, and more.

Adventure Kids: Sprout into Spring

Young explorers are invited to join Seth the Sea Turtle, Ava the Alligator, and everyone’s favorite Adventure Kid, Sophie, on an interactive journey through the Gaylord Palms atrium to discover the wonders of the springtime season. We were able to see this from our balcony which was really cool!

There are also Easter and Mother’s Day dining options as well as spa treatments during Spring it On at Gaylord Palms! Don’t forget about year round resort activities like the pools and water park! You can even reserve chairs, daybeds, and cabanas in advance so you don’t have to rush down to the pool in the morning. Towels are also provided! You have to have ice cream after lunch by the pool, of course.

Spring it on at Gaylord Palms is a wonderful time to visit. Hurry before it ends! Let me know if you have any questions.

We may not have gotten to travel often until I was a teenager, but we still had a blast, and they even took us to a @spectrumresorts property! (Ad)

As an adult, I am so grateful to be able to return the favor. To see them laugh and play with my daughter like they did with me. It’s one of those special full circle moments, those core memories that will stay with me forever. 🄹

Staying at @turquoiseplaceofficial makes things so easy, too. The condos are huge and we easily all fit without being on top of each other. There’s plenty to do with pools, a waterslide, lazy river, the beach, movie nights, kids activities, food, and more. ✨

It truly is the perfect place for a multigenerational vacation. So if you are looking for a great place to go with your parents, grandkids, aunts, uncles, or cousins, this is it. šŸ’–

And, you can save 10% on your stay by using my code LOOKGLASS in the promo box when you are booking, here or at @thebeachclubresortandspa! šŸ–ļø

We take her on these trips and cruises hoping she’ll soak in the adventure, the beauty, and maybe even the food from places different from where we live… but to her, nothing beats a corn dog and mac & cheese. šŸ§€

And honestly, that’s the best reminder for us, that joy doesn’t have to be fancy, it just has to be yours. šŸ›³āœØ

When I was 12, I was worried a lot… worried about failing, scared of what people would think of me, and of not fitting in or being ā€œcoolā€.
I turned 40 this year and have been spending time trying to figure out exactly who I really am with all expectations stripped away. I don’t love the term ā€œfinding yourselfā€, but here I feel like it fits. ✨

Maybe finding yourself means going back to being 12.… and being myself without being scared. Heather at 12 would never believe this version of me… but I think she’d be proud. šŸ’›āœØ

Not sure how this happened, but time snuck up on me and now I have an 11 year old. 🄹
We couldn’t think of a more fun place to celebrate that on Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island in the Bahamas.

She started the day with presents, then hours and hours in the sun on the island, followed by cake and singing at dinner, the tween club, and fireworks at sea! (They were for pirate night but we said they were birthday fireworks!)

Happy birthday to the most fierce, kind, competitive, loyal, funny, and beautiful little girl I know. 🩷 Never change who you are and stop growing up so fast! So. Blessed to have the best title there is, Emma Kate’s mom. šŸ’–
