Disclosure: We were hosted at the Swan and Dolphin as media, however, all opinions are my own.
As a long-time Walt Disney World lover and guest, I have stayed at almost all the hotels on property. I always knew The Swan and Dolphin existed and passed them many times on the Boardwalk, but I never stayed at either before, so we excited to have the opportunity in July of this year.
We were given a great kind bedroom at the Swan that had a beautiful view of the Dolphin and over to the right, you could see the Boardwalk and Spaceship Earth.
We had a little balcony, coffee maker, mini-fridge, sofa, and bathroom (It appeared the majority of the rooms didn’t have balconies so keep that in mind when booking if it’s important to you to book a room with a balcony!) The room was spacious and you could even log in to your streaming service, Netflix, Hulu, etc on the TV and watch your shows which was a nice touch!
My favorite thing was the proximity to the parks. You can walk or take a boat to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. The night we arrived, we were starving so we just took a stroll over to the Boardwalk for dinner. So nice and easy!
There are several pools, two gyms, a waterslide, several restaurants, a coffee shop, and more. I loved the little courtyards, hammocks, and other fun spots we discovered.
You can even rent a little Swan boat and head out on the lake in the above photo!
Another great perk of staying at the Swan and Dolphin is they have many of the amenities of a regular Disney resort such as:
- Location – As mentioned before, it’s walkable to so many things!
- Access to Extra, extra Magic Hours for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (once opened) <—-This is HUGE Star Wars fans!
- Access to 60 day Fastpass+ booking window
- Complimentary childcare at Camp Dolphin when booking a spa service or two entrees at signature dining restaurants.
There’s also a new tower, The Cove, coming in 2021!
Also for my running fans, the Swan and Dolphin are on pick-up route for runDisney races!
We didn’t have time to swim in the pools but they looked gorgeous and so much fun! Emma Kate would have loved the slide, as well as the playground (below).
Bobby did have the chance to relax in a hammock while I was working, and the morning of my birthday I went for a nice run around the grounds and Boardwalk and it was an awesome running route!
Also, the hotel is celebrating the 10th annual Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic this November for all you foodies!
