First up, Disney Nature’s all-new film PENGUINS is coming out just in time for Earth Day next year, and a trailer has been released! Check out this synopsis and the trailer below:

Disneynature’s all-new feature film PENGUINS is a coming-of-age story about an Adélie penguin named Steve who joins millions of fellow males in the icy Antarctic spring on a quest to build a suitable nest, find a life partner and start a family.  None of it comes easily for him, especially considering he’s targeted by everything from killer whales to leopard seals, who unapologetically threaten his happily ever after.”

Black Panther Now in Theaters

It’s here! It’s here! Marvel’s Black Panther is now in theaters everywhere! We have been waiting on this one for awhile folks, and it’s going to break some records!

Here is the lowdown:

“After the death of his father, T’Challa returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When a powerful enemy suddenly reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king — and as Black Panther — gets tested when he’s drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people.”

Pretty awesome right? Here are some fun facts about the film:

-The cast and stunt team practiced with African drums played by musician Jabari
Exum so that their movements would have a musical quality found in many
African-based martial arts.

-The cast did the bulk of the fight work that will be seen on film. Chadwick
Boseman, whose skill set includes a comprehensive martial arts background,
knew what he was in for when he and all the other actors had to attend a “boot
camp” to prepare them for the physical aspects of their roles.

-The majority of the Wakanda sets were constructed on sound stages at
Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, including the Tribal Council; the Wakandan Design
Group, Shuri’s hive of research and development of the vibranium rich country;
the ancient subterranean Hall of Kings; and most notably Warrior Falls, the
ceremonial heart of Wakanda’s revered traditions.

-Over 25,000 cubic feet of foam was used in the Warrior Falls set, which was
sculpted to match the rocks in Oribi Gorge in South Africa.

-The production team engineered a fully functional flowing waterfall and pool at
the ledge of the cliff with six large submersible pumps feeding over 125,000
gallons of temperature-controlled water piping up through the set at a rate of
30,000 gallons per minute before recirculating through the system.
