Tea Party

March 22, 2011 | Uncategorized

Happy Tuesday!

I thought I would share something kind of fun with you today. My second cousin is a year younger than me (my moms siblings are over 10 years older than her) and he is getting married! So my first cousin, his mom, helped host a Bridal tea party at her house (same house we go to at Christmastime) for the bride. It was so cute and fun, I just had to share with yall! She went all out and everything looked great!

there was a tray on each table

my sister and me

Good times were had by all. I don’t know what possessed me to wear high heels two hours after running a hard/hot 5k, but I was cursing myself for it at the shower!

Oh, so I guess you are wanting to know who won the giveaway, right?

It’s Angie from Kansas Runner! Angie, Please e-mail me at runningwithsass At gmail DOT com, and I will get you in touch with Stacy at Punkeelove headbands so you can pick out your prize!

A huge thank you to all who entered the giveaway. Even if you didn’t win, you should definitely go buy one of these headbands anyway! Here is their site again: Punkeelove Headbands.

Also a huge thank you to Punkeelove for contacting me about hosting this giveaway, you rock!

I am off to run before I have a blogger meet up with Cate! So excited to meet her!

QOTD: Have you ever been to a themed bridal shower? what was it?

yes! real tea cups, and in it there was a packet of tea that said “the perfect pair Danielle and Josh May 7 2011” or something like that, and a little baggie of personalized M&M’s. also they had some cookies made that looked like teapots, but I forgot to post the pic!

Getting in a walk or run when I can. Actually drinking my water. Sticking to a skincare routine instead of overthinking it. Paying attention to my hair and scalp instead of just throwing it up and moving on. Nothing extreme, just consistency in the basics.

I’ve also been using Mochi Health for personalized skincare and hair support, and it’s made it way easier to stay on track without guessing what my skin or hair needs.

If you want to try it, there’s $40 off your first month through the link in my bio. @joinmochi #joinmochi mochihealth

Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro took part in Cork to Fork on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, and every bite felt like a love letter to local flavor. From bourbon-glazed pork belly to a warm cinnamon-bourbon bread pudding that honestly didn’t stand a chance at our table… this was one of those meals you remember.

Mountain views, chef-driven dishes, and whiskey worked right into the menu in the best way. šŸ˜‹

I started noticing little signs during my normal day. Just occasional bloating, gas, and that slightly ā€œoffā€ feeling. So instead of ignoring it, I listened. I slowed down, moved more consistently, and added Align Probiotic to my routine.

It’s one capsule a day and the #1 doctor-recommended probiotic brand for over 15 years—. I started taking Align to help relieve my occasional gas, bloating, and stomach discomfort* and now I feel more comfortable moving through my day. @alignprobiotic
