Disclosure: We were hosted for this stay at OWA, however all opinions are my own.
We have been big fans of visiting OWA on the gulf coast for a few years now, and we were pumped the first time we found out they were building an indoor waterpark. It is something that was so needed in the area, and just adds even more fun and another dimension to your vacation! Being indoors it can be open in the cooler weather or rain (it rained the day we were there and didn’t matter to us, we were inside!) I wanted to share with you some photos and facts about Tropic Falls indoor waterpark so you can consider visiting on your next trip to the beaches!
Location: Foley Alabama
Food options:
There is a great food option at the waterpark with a good sized menu, as well as a bar where you can get tropical drinks. I was SUPER impressed with my pork nachos, they were delicious!
Attractions:
There are many attractions for all ages at Tropic Falls! There are rides that go outside the glass (in a tube) and back in, rides where you slide on a mat or tube, there is a lazy river, and also a great kids area with a bucket that dumps on you, and smaller slides. We stayed several hours and had a blast!
There is also a retail store in the front in case you forgot goggles, towels, etc. Lockers are also available for rent for a fee.
Information: Visit OWA website
Cost:
Keep in mind you cannot purchase a waterpark only ticket. You must purchase a combo of the indoor waterpark and outdoor theme park. Pricing can be found here. There are also season pass options available for those that plan to go more than once!
The only negative we experienced is that the music they played was REALLY loud and took a few minutes to get used to. If you have a child with a hearing/sensory sensitivity, you may want so skip this one.
Something else to keep in mind, the outdoor area is under construction, but an awesome WAVE POOL is coming soon as well as a surf simulator, so stay tuned for updates!
