Weekly Recap: September Week 2

September 16, 2012 | fitness, running

Football day! Well, yesterday was football day too, so I guess I can’t really say that. Did your team win? (Mine did! LSU won 63-14!) Do you think your team will win today?

Geaux Tigers!

This past week my workouts were better than the week before (I am getting there!) but still not back to “normal.” After being out of town all the week before, I had a LOT of work to catch up on, which left me feeling very drained and mentally tired. Fingers crossed for a better week!

Sunday: rest

Monday: 2 mile speed work run on the Treadmill

Tuesday: weights

Wednesday: 2.5 mile run outside

Thursday: weights, 10 minutes stationary bike

Friday: 5 miles outside

Saturday: weights, 30 minutes stationary bike

Total miles run: 9.5

cross training: X’s 2

weights: X’s 3

We are going to get in a long run on Monday and again on Friday or Saturday, and I am hoping to do weights four times this week instead of 3. My new shoes I ordered have been shipped and will hopefully be here soon (and will hopefully help my foot!)

QOTD: Did your college football team win yesterday? I’m an LSU Tiger fan!

Have you found the stationary bike is helping with your foot? I’ve been put off running by my PT, but am thinking maybe I could try biking too.

I either do bike or elliptical as my cross training, but found elliptical irritates it more than elliptical to I try to do it 1-2 times a week on non-run days.

Great week of workouts! We are Seminoles in this house! They killed wake forest yesterday but we have a big test next weekend against Clemson. I’ve got 10 miles on the schedule for next weekend and will probably need a running buddy if you are interested.

Yes! UW (Univ of Washington – GO DAWGS!) won their game and so did SDSU (San Diego). It was a great day for college football (and today was an even better day for pro football!)

I started noticing little signs during my normal day. Just occasional bloating, gas, and that slightly “off” feeling. So instead of ignoring it, I listened. I slowed down, moved more consistently, and added Align Probiotic to my routine.

It’s one capsule a day and the #1 doctor-recommended probiotic brand for over 15 years‡. I started taking Align to help relieve my occasional gas, bloating, and stomach discomfort* and now I feel more comfortable moving through my day. @alignprobiotic

And now… it finally will be. 🤍

We’re not leaving Tennessee, just making a local move that puts us closer to my daughter’s school, closer to our day-to-day life, and honestly closer to the version of life I’ve been hoping for since we moved here. (Aka not so much time in the car!)

Still Knoxville. New chapter. Lots of boxes. Please pray. 🏡📦

Between dogs, snacks that never make it to a plate, and whatever is happening in my entryway on a daily basis… I needed something that could actually keep up in one go. This one’s been doing the heavy lifting so I’m not doing 12 different cleanups for the same mess.

Life doesn’t happen in neat, single-surface moments. From pet hair to crumbs to tracked-in grass, real homes have layered messes. The BISSELL PowerClean DualBrush™ is designed to handle it all in one pass without switching tools or going over the same spot twice.

Promotion: List Price $359.99, on sale for $259.99 ($100 off) from 4/5–5/30. Limited time only, don’t miss it. Link in bio to shop while the deal lasts 👀

I clipped the 4x fuel points digital coupon on the Kroger app, grabbed a Mastercard gift card at Kroger, and turned a quick errand into a little win-win situation by adding in a handmade colored card and personalized note. She gets to pick exactly what she wants. 💛

I get 4X fuel points while I’m already out running around (because of course I am). Simple, thoughtful, and honestly kind of perfect.
Head to your local Kroger, clip the coupon, and grab a Visa or Mastercard gift card, but the offer is only good through May 12! Link is in my bio!

Lately our go-to has been Zbar Protein Snack Bars, especially the new Strawberries ‘N Creme flavor that is made with organic whole grain oats, real fruit, and protein to help support growing kids. It’s a snack she loves and I feel good about too.

It’s a great little reset so she can get right back to doing what she does best, playing her heart out 💕
