4 Tips For The New Year Deep Clean

December 23, 2022 | tips

A new year doesn’t just mean a new you. It’s also the perfect time to organize your home and step into the new year feeling good about your space. Perhaps there are things in your home that you’ve wanted to change for a while but haven’t got around to.

Maybe you just want to give your home a deep clean so you can relax feeling satisfied with your work. Whatever your cleaning goals are, here are some tips to get you started.

Make a List

It can be easy to lose track of what you want to do when you start cleaning. Assessing the mess and making a list of what you need to do will help you to stay on target. When you have a list you can tick things off as you go along and quickly move onto the next task.

Start listing tasks that you’ll need to do in each room. For example, vacuuming or dusting. It’s often best to get these whole house tasks done first and then go room by room.

Book It In Your Schedule

Cleaning is time consuming so if you’re planning on deep cleaning the whole house, you’ll need to book it in your diary. January is the perfect time for doing a deep clean because most people have time off work for the New Year and it’s a great way to beat those January blues.

However, if you haven’t got the time, you may need to hire some help. A good housekeeper can ensure your house is ready for taking on 2023. Have a look at https://highlandparkhousekeeping.com/housekeeping-legacy-west-plano/.

Get Your Tools

You don’t want to have to stop half way through your cleaning because you haven’t got something you need. Make sure you have all the cleaning products necessary to get the job done. Check your supply of cleaning cloths and sponges, make sure your duster is in good condition and all of your electrical tools are working.

If you have furniture or carpets that are stained or looking worn, be sure to purchase specialist cleaning products. These will help you get your furniture looking new and fresh. Be sure to read the instructions on all cleaning products before use.

Hair Removal

Hair removal can be one of the toughest jobs when it comes to cleaning. Although there are many benefits to owning a dog and other pets, you’ll inevitably find hair on your sofas, carpets, and even on your clothes. It’s important to make use of your vacuum attachments to easily remove hair from furniture and carpet.

Try and keep your pets off the furniture and don’t let them go upstairs so you can avoid pet hair on your bed covers. A professional team will be able to use industrial equipment to remove more hair.

Once you’ve finished cleaning your home, be sure to take some time to rest. Cleaning is a hard and active job so you’ll deserve to put your feet up for a while. Enjoy your clean house!

Some days, the scoreboard doesn’t look the way we Some days, the scoreboard doesn’t look the way we want it to, but that doesn’t change how proud we are. ❤️

Yesterday we didn’t win the championship, but that didn’t stop us from remembering what really matters, that our daughter is an amazing human who deserves to be celebrated even on the tough days. 🍧

Parents, it’s SO easy to get wrapped up in the game. Let’s always remember that our kids’ worth isn’t measured by a trophy or a score. Celebrate them. Encourage them. Love them unconditionally. ✨

They are enough. Always. 💛
