A Full Weekend

July 14, 2014 | family, holidays, pregnancy

Good morning! What a whirlwind of a weekend! We packed at our old house Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning, drove to my parents house in Louisiana Friday, had my baby shower Saturday, and my birthday Sunday! It was an exhausting but wonderful weekend with great food, friends, and fun! I go back home tomorrow, and will be doing a full baby shower recap this week, but for today just thought I would give you a peek at the fun! The hostesses did an amazing job, and Karen handmade so many amazing decorations and is so talented!

Karen made the beautiful wreath!

baby shower1

There was delicious food, too.

baby shower2

Baby M was so spoiled with lots of amazing gifts

baby shower3

Cute touches everywhere, along with hidden Mickeys.

baby shower4

The same lady who made my cake for the gender reveal party made my shower cake. It was beautiful and tasted so delicious. It had almond in it, so it tasted like a wedding cake.

I have plenty more to show you and share, so stay tuned! The shower was so much fun and I had a great relaxing birthday yesterday as well.

QOTD: Are you crafty? Have you ever made party decorations?

I’m itching for someone close to me to get engaged, married, or have a baby so I can plan a shower. I adore that kind of stuff, and I’m rather partial to the hidden Mickey’s.

Getting in a walk or run when I can. Actually drinking my water. Sticking to a skincare routine instead of overthinking it. Paying attention to my hair and scalp instead of just throwing it up and moving on. Nothing extreme, just consistency in the basics.

I’ve also been using Mochi Health for personalized skincare and hair support, and it’s made it way easier to stay on track without guessing what my skin or hair needs.

If you want to try it, there’s $40 off your first month through the link in my bio. @joinmochi #joinmochi mochihealth

Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro took part in Cork to Fork on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, and every bite felt like a love letter to local flavor. Mountain views, chef-driven dishes, and whiskey worked right into the menu in the best way. šŸ˜‹

I started noticing little signs during my normal day. Just occasional bloating, gas, and that slightly ā€œoffā€ feeling. So instead of ignoring it, I listened. I slowed down, moved more consistently, and added Align Probiotic to my routine.

It’s one capsule a day and the #1 doctor-recommended probiotic brand for over 15 years—. I started taking Align to help relieve my occasional gas, bloating, and stomach discomfort* and now I feel more comfortable moving through my day. @alignprobiotic
