Blogging Made Easier

October 22, 2012 | blogging, tips

Blogging takes up a LOT of time. First there is the blogging itself, research, picture taking, then there is social media presence, answering e-mails, etc. I absolutely love all the things that blogging brings, but if my computer or internet and phone speed are not working with me, it can make all encompassing “blogging” very very frustrating.

As many of you know, I am a Verizon Wireless ambassador and have been testing out the Samsung Galaxy S3 for the past couple of months. I have talked about how awesome the device itself is, and all it’s cool features, but I haven’t yet shared with you about the 4G LTE service itself.

First of all, this service as expected is FAST! One of my biggest time sucks used to be trying to look at something on my phone and having to wait forever for a page to load, going outside on the porch holding my phone up trying to get more bars (oh come on you KNOW you have done it!) and then getting frustrated when a page times out or a call drops. I can honestly say I have been spoiled by just how fast this service is. There is no way my old service can “keep up” with this one.

As I have mentioned before my favorite thing is the mobile hotspot. One would expect a mobile hotspot to “work” but be very slow. Well I can tell you my friends, this is not the case. As a daily blogger, I obviously need to be on my computer a lot to get posts written, but sometimes I am just not home long enough to get this done, and am on the go a lot. The mobile hotspot and the speed of the 4gLTE service has made my new favorite, blogging in the car, possible. (Obviously not while I am driving!)

We go back and forth from Mississippi to Louisiana a lot, and I do a lot of traveling with work. Instead of letting this time be unproductive and a waste, I let my husband drive, and crank out a blog post while we are getting from point A to point B. I used to have to type it out and wait until I got somewhere to upload photos, or publish, but not anymore, and it’s awesome!

So, especially for you my blogger friends, you should seriously look into this as a necessity to your job of being a blogger/social media lover and be more efficient with your time with 4G LTE!

*Just a reminder that in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month (October), Verizon is hosting a photo contest to share the message of hope. Please enter their best photo symbolizing hope (taken with their Verizon Wireless smartphone or tablet, please). For each submission, $1 will be donated to HopeLine from Verizon. Visit this link for more information and to check out the gallery of inspiring photos so far.

*Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Wireless Ambassador program and have been provided
with a wireless device and three months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the
product.

QOTD: If you are a blogger, what is something about technology that has made your blogging life easier? If you aren’t a blogger, what is something about technology that has made life in general easier?

Oh you need to get a cool case for your phone. I have the same phone and I got some cool Otterboxes on Amazon. I think this little phone can be hard to hold onto sometimes. I need to get better at using the keyboard though before I move onto blogging with it.

I typically don’t blog on it, but I use it’s mobile hotspot and bring my laptop in the car!

I absolutely LOVE my Samsung Galaxy S. It may be “old” but I finds it’s gotten me through MUCH better than most phones out there.

I love writing posts on my phone… i do it in an email, I think I am too “controlling” when it comes to posts and the designer in me wants to see it on my giant computer and publish it, then edit it a billion times. Great post!

Some days, the scoreboard doesn’t look the way we Some days, the scoreboard doesn’t look the way we want it to, but that doesn’t change how proud we are. ❤️

Yesterday we didn’t win the championship, but that didn’t stop us from remembering what really matters, that our daughter is an amazing human who deserves to be celebrated even on the tough days. 🍧

Parents, it’s SO easy to get wrapped up in the game. Let’s always remember that our kids’ worth isn’t measured by a trophy or a score. Celebrate them. Encourage them. Love them unconditionally. ✨

They are enough. Always. 💛
