Did you know you can celebrate Mardi Gras at the beach? (Ad) 💜💚💛

We just got back from an awesome stay at @thebeachclubresortandspa by @spectrumresorts in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Emma Kate got to experience her first Mardi Gras!

There are several parades that take place the weekend before Mardi Gras leading up until the actual day, so there was no shortage of things to do. Plus several of the restaurants had special Mardi Gras food and drink menus which added to the fun.

The Beach Club was the perfect place to stay because at the end of a long day of bead catching, we had a beautiful spacious condo to go back to. We also made a grocery store run so we could do some light cooking there instead of eating out for every meal to make it more economical. The kitchen was stocked with all the pots and pans we needed!

I grew up in New Orleans and so I’m used to the fanfare and parades, but it was so much fun seeing it through the eyes of my kid! 🎭

Last month we enjoyed an amazing meal at @carrabbas while we were in Orlando with my family! (Ad) 🍷

The one we visited was just a couple of minutes off Disney property and had a huge menu, happy hour, and a special winter seasonal menu! 🍝

The service was amazing and everything tasted so fresh! We finished the evening off with some excellent desserts. Emma Kate gave her meal two thumbs up as well and she can be picky.

I know it’s not Monday for #medalmonday but I am still riding the @rundisney high from the Princess 10k! 👸🏻

Getting to run my besties first race EVER with her made it even more magical and the miles truly flew by! She said she has officially drank the kool aid and is ready for another #rundisney race! What should we do next?

It’s right on the water with beautiful decor, amazing food and a great staff! Everything was fresh and the drinks were yummy, too. Their sauces are made from scratch and their pizzas are hand tossed. 🍕

Some of our faves were the mozzarella stuffed rice balls, bruschetta, pizza, and lasagna! We had an awesome experience and will be back!
